Abstract

Perkembangan penggunaan bahasa Inggris selama ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari aspek dialektogi dan dialek yang berlaku di beberapa kelompok masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah tertentu. Beberapa kajian terkait dengan dialektogi dan linguistic baik secara sinkronik dan diakronik inipun dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan penggunaan bahasa Inggris di suatu wilayah. Meskipun sampai saat ini beberapa dialek masih dianggap sebagai sebuah kesalahan berkaitan dengan tidak benar dan standarnya penggunaan fungsi bahasa. Artikel ini lebih lanjut membahas masalah dialektologi yang berkaitan dengan dialektologi structural dan generatif. Sedangkan dialek dalam pembahasan ini berkaitan dengan dialek yang pergunakan oleh masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah pinggiran (rural dialect), dialek masyarakat urban (urban dialect), dialek berdasarkan wilayah atau geografi (geographical dialect continua), dan dialek social yang berkembang di masyarakat (social dialect continua).   Kata kunci : dialektologi, dialek.

Abstract

Media televisi sebagai sarana pembelajaran informal, belakangan ini sedikit kurang terperhatikan.Banyak kalangan yang terlalu berfokus pada sisi negatif televisi sehingga penggunaan media ini untuk saranapendidikan justru kurang diperbincangkan, apalagi dikaji secara ilmiah dan mendalam, agar ditemukan formulayang tepat dan efisien untuk menggunakan televisi sebagai sarana pendidikan alternative yang justru memilikiperanan cukup vital. Di masa lalu istilah “Televisi Pendidikan” sudah dapat memberikan gambaran secaraumum bagaimana Televisi dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media yang memberikan pendidikan secara informal,namun memiliki dampak yang luar biasa positif. Di antara begitu banyak keuntungan dari penggunaan mediatelevisi, diantaranya adalah kemampuannya untuk membuat penonton secara aktif lebih terlibat, dan pengaruhjangka panjang yang secara terus-menerus memberikan dampak positif, bahkan hingga berbulan-bulankemudian, setelah menyaksikan suatu program pendidikan ditelevisi. Oleh karenanya tantangan yangsesungguhnya saat ini adalah untuk menemukan formula pendidikan yang tepat, aplikatif dilayar kaca, dansekaligus dapat mengatasi berbagai masalah teknis, terkait proses produksi sebuah program pendidikan, ditelevisi. Kata kunci: Pendidikan informal, televisi pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how much influence public service video ads have on zakat awareness. A total of 200 Muslim respondents from Central Java and Yogyakarta. The research method used is linear regression, which is processed with the help of SPSS 16.00 statistics. In addition to the study, a response was also made to the video on public service advertisements and a description of the awareness of the people of Central Java and Yogyakarta. From the findings, it was found that 19.2% of zakat awareness increased after watching a public service advertisement video. Positive findings are expected to be the light of the people of Central Java and Yogyakarta to immediately pay zakat. The amil zakat institution is also expected to be helped in terms of increasing the zakat conscious movement through mass media facilities

Abstract

This research is to develop one method of learning that is a video containing tutorial about praying procedures in English. The video is designed to facilitate students to understand the praying procedures as well as practice their competence in English, especially listening and speaking. Some experts and the users validated the effectiveness of the research. Those who validated are people who have competence in praying procedures, English and multimedia. Therefore, there must be three experts in this research. The users are given some questionnaires asking their opinions about the video. The sample of the research was taken from college students majoring in Communication and Islam Broadcasting in IAIN Salatiga. There were 35 students in one class. Video of praying tutorial produced through this research get goodresponses from students. They feel that by watching the video and see the audio and visual movements of the prayer contained in the video can make them able to remember more clearly how to do praying, especially for praying that is not done everyday.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and know the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) video about Electrical Energy Materials for Class VI Students of Islamic Elementary School.  The method used in this study was Research and Development with ADDIE steps.  The ADDIE is a model consisting of five steps that are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.  The study concludes that: 1) Analyze everything needed in development, 2) Design of CTL video framework in both layout and appearance, 3) Development of CTL video teaching materials from the collection of materials, preparation, validation, revision, and production of CTL videos, 4) Implementation CTL videos in learning, 5) Evaluation of the CTL video used concerning its effectiveness, practicality, and attractiveness in learning.  Subjects in this research were 30 student Islamic Elementary School of Siti Sulaechah Semarang, Central Java.  The data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method in this research is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. SPSS 16 is used for quantitative analysis.  The results showed as follows, 1) teachers need learning videos that are innovative, interesting, and can improve students environmental care attitudes; 2) the form of development in the form of CTL videos through the steps of analysis, design, development, application, and evaluation; and 3) Contextual Teaching and Learning-based Learning Videos can in increasing environmental attitudes (paired-sample t-test, α = 0.00 0.05).

Abstract

This study attempts to demonstrate the language acquisition theory, which says humans are natural learners who can learn by habituation. There is a song called Kun Fayakun, which has the same tune as Maroon 5's popular song Memories. This study examines the effectiveness of teaching Arabic simultaneously with English using that song for students. Sixty-four first-year UIN Salatiga students from Indonesia's various regions were requested to sing it in two versions, analyze the lyrics in two languages (Arabic and English), and map new vocabulary learned from the song. This study's data analysis will utilize a qualitative descriptive method based on experiment outcomes. Even though the respondents' initial English and Arabic abilities were rudimentary, with an average score of 6.5 out of 10, they stated that this multilingual popular song-based experiment provided them with a lot of information and new terminology in a pleasant and challenging way. These findings show that studying Arabic and English through popular song media can be a successful and entertaining technique for students.

Abstract

Among the descriptions of the problems found by researchers is the condition of some teacher ethics that are not in accordance with the goals of Islamic education itself. There are also teachers who do not care about the mistakes of the students they see. In addition, there are still many student violations that are suspected to be the result of the influence of bad teacher ethics. So this study aims to remind good teacher ethics to the ranks of teachers in the two madrasas. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The researcher sees that this method is suitable for this research because the purpose of this research is to describe and explain the ethical values contained in the book siyaar a'laamin nubala by Imam Dzahabi. The results achieved include showing that the teacher always shows a sincere attitude towards the task of teaching students in their work. In general, the ethics of teachers in the two madrasas are in accordance with what was described by Imam Dzahabi in his book Siyaar Alamin Nubala. Meanwhile, teachers should not only improve their quality in terms of intelligence about the material being taught. But teachers also need to pay attention to ethics when in the school environment. Because the attitude and behavior of the teacher has more influence on the quality of their students than the material obtained while in class.

Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of learning Islamic education and English using the song I am a Muslim as a medium for early childhood (ages 4-12) through an experimental study. Design/methodology/approach: This research employs an experimental method involving 32 children from various regions in Indonesia. The song was played three times a day for one month, and the children's progress was observed through video recordings and interviews with close family members. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Research Findings: The research findings indicate that 18 children experienced significant improvements in English proficiency and understanding of religious values, while the other 14 showed varying levels of progress. Factors such as age, learning methods, and family support influenced the success rate of the learning process. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study provides theoretical contributions to language and religious education by emphasizing the role of songs as an effective learning medium. It also highlights the importance of experiential learning approaches in enhancing language skills and understanding of religious values.

Abstract

Early childhood education is crucial for both religion and English learning. Previous studies have shown that social media is helping today's youth learn more about religion and English. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of teaching religion and English with song media in early childhood through an experimental study of the song I am I a Muslim by Yusuf Islam. This study's theoretical contribution can help develop the theory of religion and English education for early childhood and be practically valuable for teachers or parents. This study was an experimental study. A sample of 32 children (4-12 years) was qualitatively analyzed. The results revealed that the respondents' habit of listening to the song I Am A Muslim grew over time. The aspects not confirmed by this study's findings included the mood factor of the children so the facilitators, the environment in which children study, and the type of children's learning style, despite the fact that the hypotheses postulated in this study had not been proved 100%. This study has demonstrated that most respondents experience an improvement in English language abilities and Islamic knowledge via song since there are still some limitations to this study. The future study can include using control elements that impact learning success and doing research in the same areas.
