Abstract

The aim of this research was to mapping the status of total and available potassium of lowland paddy soil in Balinggi Sub District, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.   The determination of locations where soils were sampled used a Global Position System (GPS) tool. The research was conducted from February to March 2015 and the soil samples were analyzed in Soil Science Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty Tadulako University.  The results showed that the status of available potassium was low ranging from 0.15 cmol(+)kg-1 to 0.39 cmol(+)kg-1, whereas that of total potassium was varied from high to low.  The total potassium was found high in an area of 409 ha (24%), moderate in that of 799 ha (46%) and low in that of 513 ha (30%).

Abstract

This research aims is to determine some soil chemical properties on a variety land use in Poboya watershed. While the usefulness of this study are as material information about characteristics of the chemical properties of the various land use in the Poboya watershed which is expected to serve as a reference in treatment planning watershed and soil and water conservation. The method used in this research is using survey methods. Observations and soil sampling done by tactical. The distance between the observation point with other observations point adjusted to the conditions of the survey area. The soil samples were taken from four kinds of state forest land the land cover, shrubs, garden mix and moor. Each type of land use types 5 sub samples were taken and composited, in order to obtain four composite soil samples for laboratory analysis. The analysis includes a soil chemical properties of soil pH, organic C, N - total, P - total, P - available, Potassium, Cation Exchange Capacity and Texture. Results of chemical analysis of several types of land use, forest land has chemical properties that best compared with the chemical properties of the type of land use shrubs, garden mix and moor. Chemical properties on the type of land use mixed gardens and fields are generally relatively low. Key Words: Chemical soil, land use type, watershed.

Abstract

"Trichosubur Protect", are  biocompost  form of ranule preparation, an active agent of Trichoderma sp, with the ingredients are Nitrogen (2.39%), Posfor (0.14%), Potassium (0.90%), Calcium (0.02%), Sodium (0.27%), Sulfur (0.53%) and C-organic (51.13%), this Product from Biology Department, Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Tadulako University. This research aimed to the test effectiveness and the dosage biocompost "Trichosubur Protect" effect on the growth of the onion plants (Allium ascalonicumL.).This research was conducted at November 2015 until March 2016, located at hotusbotanicus in Tadulako University. This research  was designed in a Completely Randomized Design, consisting of six treatment and three times replications. With these following treatment arrange; P0 (without given biocompost "Trichosubur Protect"), P1 (10g biocompost "Trichosubur Protect"), P2 (20g), P3 (30g), P4 (40g) and P5 (2g NPK fertilizer).  The research showed that P4 treatment  the best onion plants growth comparative with the  P0, P1, P2 and P3 treatment. P4 treatment showed the number of tubers was 7.66, biomass weight at harvest 4.43g, leaf weight at harvest 4.25g tuber, weight at harvest 15.12g, hand root weight at harvest 0.13g, nevertheless it is lower than P5 treatment. Keywords : Biocompost "Trichosubur Protect", Onion (Allium ascalonicumL.), Trichoderma sp..

Abstract

The research aims were to determine some chemical characteristics of soil under different position in slope land and to determine soil chemical characteristics under several toposequencein Poboya watershed of Palu.  Descriptive explorative method was employed to analyze data collected and the research variables were approached through field survey and supported by results of soil analysis in the Environment Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University.  The research was conducted in June – Desember 2015.  The differences of soil sites in slope position affected the soil chemical characteristics.  Soil pH was acid ranging from 4.55-5.78in the upper slope but slightly acid ranging from 4.65-6.28in the lower slope. Similarly, C-organic, N-total, C/N ratio, P-total, K-total and CEChad a tendency to be higher in the lower slope than in the upper slope.  Saturated bases were higher in the upper slope than in the lower slope.  Saturated basesalso tended to increase with soil depth at the upper slope.  In contrast, P-total and K-total tended to decrease with soil depth in the lower slope. Keywords: Poboya watershed, and Slope.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of various types of bokashi on phosphorus uptake of sweet corn crops. The research was conducted in the village of Sidera, District Biromaru, Sigi, Central Sulawesi Province. Analysis of soil, plant tissue and bokashi performed in the Laboratory of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako, Palu. This research was arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consists of 7 treatments and replicated 3 times so that there are 21 experimental units. Treatment that consists of control and 6 types of biomass materials of gamal, venus, peanuts, chicken manure, goat manure and cow dung, each is used as much as 15 t ha-1. The results showed that application of various types of bokashi with a dose of 15 t ha-1 increased C-organic of soil, soil pH, total P, available P and phosphorus uptake of plant sweet corn. HSD test results (5%) indicate that P uptake is highest in bokashi treatment gamal (6,74g/plant) were significantly different with bokashi treatment peanuts (3,34 g/plant), bokashi venus (3,05 g/plant), bokashi goat manure (3.01 g/plant), bokashi cow manure (1.62 g/plant), bokashi chicken manure (0,96 g/plant), and control (0,28 g/plant). In the treatment of peanut bokashi no real difference in bokashi venus and goat manure but all three types are significantly different bokashi cow manure, chicken manure and control.
