Abstract

Along with the discovery of several gold prospects area in ​​Central Sulawesi, gold mining had increased both by companies, cooperatives and illegal mining. The activity of this mining produce waste that consist of hazardous toxic substances in which there was a heavy metal such as mercury (Hg). This metal is one of the trace elements that has liquid at room temperature, high specific gravity and power electric conductivity, and a toxic chemical element became a global concern because has significant hazardous effect on human health, wildlife and ecosystems. This study was  aims to know the content of mercury in soil around the Poboya’s gold mining. The method used in this study was a survey which describes the actually condition of this area and assess the causes of certain symptoms. In this study measurements, field observations, and laboratory analysis had been done. There step that be noticed in this survey were pre-survey, main survey (sampling) and laboratory analysis. Compose soil sample for laboratory analysis had been collected from several sample point that had been plotting by tactics. The results of this study showed that the content of mercury in all representative soil sample and tailings had highest than threshold. Normally, concentrations of mercury in the soil range from 0.03 ppm (normal) to 0.3 to 0.5 ppm (critics); while concentrations of mercury in soil agricultural areas ranged from 0.057 ppm to 8.19 ppm and in tailings ranged from 84.15 ppm - 575, 16 ppm.

Abstract

Penambangan emas di Desa Poboya merupakan salah satu wilayah pertambangan emas rakyat yang ada di Kabupaten Sigi-Biromaru. Kegiatan penambangan tersebut dilakukan oleh sekelompok masyarakat dan menggunakan cara-cara penambangan yang sangat sederhana (tradisional). Penambangan yang dilakukan mengakibatkan lingkungan menjadi rusak.  Logam berat merupakan istilah yang digunakan untuk unsur-unsur transisi yang mempunyai massa jenis atom lebih besar dari 6 gcm-3. Merkuri (Hg), timbal (Pb), tembaga (Cu), kadmium (Cd) dan stronsium (Sr) adalah contoh logam berat yang berupa kontaminan yang berasal dari luar tanah dan sangat diperhatikan karena berhubungan erat dengan kesehatan manusia, pertanian dan ekotoksikologinya. Lingkungan yang terkontaminasi oleh merkuri dapat membahayakan kehidupan manusia karena adanya rantai makanan.  kontaminasi merkuri pada tanaman  harus ditempatkan secara khusus dan ditangani secara hati-hati.  Penelitian ini dilaksakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan merkuri di kawasan pengolahan tambang emas Poboya.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey yang menggambarkan/menguraikan sifat dari suatu keadaan lokasi secara aktual dan mengkaji penyebab dari gejala-gejala tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran, pengamatan  dilapangan dan pengkuran laboratorium, pra survei, survei utama (pengambilan sampel) dan analisi laboratoruim, dengan pengambilan sampel secara taktis.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan merkuri (Hg) pada sampel yang mewakili lokasi penelitian adalah tidak semua sampel tanaman menunjukan kandungan merkuri melewati ambang batas berdasarkan acuan Alloway, (1995) Konsentrasi merkuri (Hg) dalam tanaman kacang tanah berkisar 0.098 ppm- 0.45 ppm, pada tanaman jagung berkisar 0.07 ppm sampai 0.43 ppm, pada tanaman padi berkisar 0.03 ppm - 0.21 ppm dan pada tanaman bawang merah berkisar 0.01 ppm - 0.32 ppm. Kandungan logam berat merkuri (Hg) dalam tanaman di areal kelurahan Poboya masih dalam ambang yang bisa di toleransi namun menghawatirkan.

Abstract

Logam berat merupakan istilah yang digunakan untuk unsur-unsur transisi yang mempunyai massa jenis atom lebih besar dari 5 gcm3. Merkuri (Hg), timbal (Pb), tembaga (Cu), kadmium (Cd) dan stronsium (Sr) adalah contoh logam berat yang berupa kontaminan yang berasal dari luar tanah dan sangat diperhatikan karena berhubungan erat dengan kesehatan manusia, pertanian dan ekotoksikologinya. Lingkungan yang terkontaminasi oleh merkuri (Hg) dapat membahayakan kehidupan manusia karena adanya rantai makanan. Suatu studi yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh dosis maksimum dari pemberian bokashi Titonia (Titonia diversifolia) terhadap konsentrasi merkuri (Hg) dalam tanah dan dalam jaringan tanaman kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) pada limbah tailing tambang emas Poboya, Kota Palu. Telah dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Jurusan Budidaya Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tadulako. Tujuh perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol (0 tha-1), 10 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, 30  t ha-1,  40 t ha1, 50 t ha-1dan 60 t ha-1, disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil-hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian bokashi Titonia diversifolia sangat berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan Hg tanah dan Hg jaringan tanaman, meningkatkan bobot kering tanaman, pH, KTK dan C -Organik yang ditumbuhkan selama masa vegetative maksimum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bokashi gamal dan kacang tanah terhadap serapan nitrogen tanaman jagung manis pada Entisol Sidera.  Penelitian ini menggunakan  rancangan acak kelompok dengan 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0= Kontrol , K15= 15 t ha-1 bokashi kacang tanah, K30= 30 t ha-1 bokashi kacang tanah, G15= 15 t ha-1 bokashi gamal, G30= 30 t ha-1 bokashi gamal.  Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 15 unit percobaan.  penelitian ini menggunakan tanaman jagung manis sebagai tanaman indikator, variable amatan antara lain : pH, bobot kering tanaman, C-organik tanah, kandungan N-total,konsentrasi N jaringan dan serapan nitrogen.  Analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA jika terdapat pengaruh maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan dengan menggunakan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh bokashi gamal dan kacang tanah terhadap serapan nitrogen tanaman jagung manis.

Abstract

Merkuri merupakan logam berat bahan pencemar yang paling berbahaya. Salah atu sumber pencemaran unsur merkuri dalam tanah dapat berasal dari penambangan. Pembuangan tailinglangsung ke tanah tanpa perlakuan menyebabkan tanah tercemar sehingga terjadi akumulasi dalam tanah bahkan pada tanaman yang berada di sekitarnya.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi Merkuri (Hg) dalam tanah dan jaringan tanaman kangkung (Ipomoea reptans) akibat pemberian bokashi kirinyu (Chromolaena odorata L.) pada limbah tailing penambangan emas Poboya Kota Palu.Penelitian ini disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dosis yaitu: kontrol (tanpa bokashi), bokashi dengan dosis 10 t ha-1, bokashi dengan dosis 20 t ha-1, bokashi dengan dosis 30 t ha-1, bokashi dengan dosis 40 t ha-1, bokashi dengan dosis 50 t ha-1, dan bokashi dengan dosis 60 t ha-1, masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga diperoleh 21 unit percobaan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan merkuri pada limbah tailing tergolong kritis atau sangat tinggi yaitu 621,37 ppm. Konsentrasi normal merkuri dalam tanah 0,03 ppm dan konsentrasi kritis 0,3-0,5 ppm. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa, dengan pemberian bokashi kirinyu pada Limbah Tailing berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap konsentrasi merkuri dalam tanah dan jaringan tanaman serta reaksi tanah atau pH tanah, C-Organik dan Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK).

Abstract

This research aim was to determine various soil chemical properties on a variety land uses in Poboya watershed. A survey method was employed through which soil samples were tactically taken.  The distance between one soil sample to another was determined according to the condition of the research area.  Four different types of land uses i.e. forest, bushes, mixed plantation and dryland cultivation were surveyed.  Five sub soil samples were compositely obtained from each land use, thus, there were four composite soil samples were for laboratory analysis.  The analysis included soil pH, organic C, total N, total P, available P, K, cation exchangeable capacity and texture.  The results of the analysis showed that the forest land has better soil chemical characteristics than the other land uses.  The chemical characteristics of the mixed plantation and dryland cultivation are generally were relatively low.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study and evaluate the soil quality level criteria on toposekuen subzone Poboya based on several different topography. The method used is descriptive method variables explorative approach conducted through field surveys and supported by the results of soil analysis in the laboratory. Then proceed to describe the results of studies assessing soil quality scoring method on each indicator. The results showed that the soil in the area Sub Das Poboya quality criteria are less healthy soil and healthy. Soil quality with less healthy criteria how the peaks and concave regions which have the highest scoring value of 2.72 (on a sunken area) and the value of the lowest scoring is 2, 36 (the peak area). While healthy soil quality criteria are in the valley and convex areas which have the highest scoring value of 3.27 (in the valley) and the value of the lowest scoring is 3.09 (on a convex area). Key Words : Soil quality, Toposekuen.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the characteristics of the soil under forest land, dry land, degraded land, shifting cultivation, mixed plantation, and house yards in Beka Village, Marawola Sub District of Sigi District. Three sites from each land use were determined where three soil samples were taken from each site at 0–20 cm depth using soil rings. Parameters observed included soil permeability, bulk density, porosity, water content at saturated and field capacity condition, and upper and lower plasticity limits. The soil permeability ranged from less to very fast while the soil bulk density from light to heavy. The saturated water contents were found to be 40.35% to 53.00% while the field capacity water content to be 20.18% to 26.50%. The upper and lower plasticity limits ranged from moderate to high. Key Words : Beka village, land use, and soil physical characteristic.

Abstract

This research aims is to determine some soil chemical properties on a variety land use in Poboya watershed. While the usefulness of this study are as material information about characteristics of the chemical properties of the various land use in the Poboya watershed which is expected to serve as a reference in treatment planning watershed and soil and water conservation. The method used in this research is using survey methods. Observations and soil sampling done by tactical. The distance between the observation point with other observations point adjusted to the conditions of the survey area. The soil samples were taken from four kinds of state forest land the land cover, shrubs, garden mix and moor. Each type of land use types 5 sub samples were taken and composited, in order to obtain four composite soil samples for laboratory analysis. The analysis includes a soil chemical properties of soil pH, organic C, N - total, P - total, P - available, Potassium, Cation Exchange Capacity and Texture. Results of chemical analysis of several types of land use, forest land has chemical properties that best compared with the chemical properties of the type of land use shrubs, garden mix and moor. Chemical properties on the type of land use mixed gardens and fields are generally relatively low. Key Words: Chemical soil, land use type, watershed.

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate soil quality criteria in Sigi Biromaru District Sigi Regency based on some types of land use. The research method used was descriptive-explorative method which its variables were conducted through field surveys and supported by soil analysis from laboratory. Results of soil analysis were then assessed its quality by using scoring method at each indicator. Results of this research showed that soil in Sigi Biromaru District Sigi Regency based land use had soil quality criteria ranged from healthy soil to less healthy soil. On mixed farming area had the highest scoring value 2.83 (healthy soil criteria), whilst rice field had scoring value 2.66 (less healthy soil criteria) and on horticulture area had the lowest scoring value 2.5 (less healthy soil criteria).Key Words: Land use, soil quality.
