Abstract

Baseline is a distance between two cameras, but we cannot get information from a single camera. Baseline is one of the important parameters to find the depth of objects in stereo image triangulation. The flow of baseline is produced by moving the camera in horizontal axis from its original location. Using baseline estimation, we can determined the depth of an object by using only an omnidirectional camera. This research focus on determining the flow of baseline before calculating the disparity map. To estimate the flow and to tracking the object, we use three and four points in the surface of an object from two different data (panoramic image) that were already chosen. By moving the camera horizontally, we get the tracks of them. The obtained tracks are visually similar. Each track represent the coordinate of each tracking point. Two of four tracks have a graphical representation similar to second order polynomial.

Abstract

Banyaknya jumlah stasiun radio FM dan keterbatasan alokasi frekuensi radio FM mengharuskan penggunaan alokasi frekuensi radio tersebut diatur sesuai dengan yang berlaku dari International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Dengan adanya aturan tersebut, spektrum frekuensi radio juga memerlukan pengawasan secara periodik sekaligus untuk penertiban penggunaannya. Penertiban dilakukan secara periodik supaya penggunaan spektrum frekuensi tetap sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku. Oleh sebab itu, sistem pemetaan dan pengawasan spektrum frekuensi radio FM berbasis Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) untukpengukuran spektrum frekuensi radio FM dibuat.Sistem pengukuran spektrum frekuensi radio FM ini terdiri dari dua proses utama yaitu komunikasi spectrum analyzer (SPA) dengan laptop dan pengolahan data dari SPA yang ditampilkan dengan program visual. Komunikasi SPA dengan laptop digunakan untuk memperoleh file *.txt dan file *.bmp atau *.jpg. Pengolahan data digunakan untuk mengonversi file *.txt menjadi file *.xls.Program pengukuran spektrum frekuensi radio FM berhasil direalisasikan. Komunikasi antara SPA GwInstek dengan laptop berhasil dilakukan yang menghasilkan file *.txt dan *.bmp atau *.jpg. Program SPA GwInstek berhasil mengolah file *.txt menjadi file *.xls. Tampilan akhir gambar dari program SPA GwInstek adalah file *.bmp atau *.jpg hasil pengukuran SPA GwInstek.

Abstract

Temperature measurement has many applications in medical devices. In recent days, body temperature become the main screening procedure to justify people infected by SARS-CoV-2. Related to pandemic situation due to SARS-Cov-2, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method become the most accurate and reliable detection method. This method employs a device named PCR machine or Thermal Cycler. In this research, we focus to build a Thermal Cycler using a low-cost material such as aluminium and using a liquid coolant as the cooling system. We use 2 types of coolant solution: mineral water and generic liquid coolant. Peltier device in thermal cycler serves as heating and cooling element. In heating rate experiments, generic liquid coolant shows a better result than using mineral water due to specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity of water. In the cooling rate experiments, the water pump is activated to stream the liquid solution, the flow rate of liquid solution is influenced by viscosity of the liquid. Generic liquid coolant has approx. 4,5 times greater viscosity than water. The higher flow rate means better performance for cooling rate. Using 2 pieces of 60-Watt heaters and a 60-Watt chiller and aluminium material as block sample, our research shows a heating and cooling rate up to approx. 0,1°C/s. Compared to commercially thermal cycler, our thermal cycler has a lower wattage; this lower wattage performance has been tradeoff with lower ramping rate. Some factors are suspected become the source of contributors of lower ramping rate.

Abstract

A collimator simulator which is an accessory in radiology equipment, has been made. This simulator was created as a learning medium to complete students' understanding in studying x-rays as part of electromagnetic waves. The research is divided into two stages, namely the manufacture of simulators and implementation as teaching materials. The collimator simulator is equipped with blades that are used to limit the radiation field area. In this study, collimator lamps were used to see the area of the field. The simulator is equipped with a motor to open and close the radiation window. The results of the implementation to students stated that students agreed that the collimator simulator learning media helped students to better understand the material. Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, DNA amplification technique – the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method became the gold standard for virus diagnosis and measuring the amount of viral target nucleic acid in a clinical sample and delivering quantitative results. This PCR method is implemented as Thermal Cycler or PCR machine. One of the main components in the Thermal Cycler is the heater. Three heaters, such as: Peltier Device 12715, Ceramic Heater PTC 12 VDC, and Customized Heater 12 VDC were tested for their performance by being connected to 3-well aluminium block. Two pieces of PTC Ceramic Heaters 12 VDC with a total power of 120 W showed the best performance compared to the other 2 heaters and were able to provide a heating ramp rate of 0,13 /second.

Abstract

Learning instrument is an important things in the learning process. Mechatronics systems that have complex circuits and controllers are not easily understood by Level 1 and 2 Students. This research applies the R&D method of Sugiyono to produce sorting machines that are easy to use and learn. The Pixy2 CMUcam5 camera is used for color detection. The controller circuit are used is Karnaugh Map circuit using Digital IC (NOT-AND-OR) and Arduino Uno. The color combinations processed in Karnaugh Map controller circuit are sorting 1 color (Red-R/ Green-G/ Blue-B), 2 colors (R&G/ R&B/ G&B), and 3 colors (R&G&B). Results of this sorting machine are can be operated easily, reprogrammed for both object color detection and DC motor & servo motor control, and rebuilt for the Karnaugh Map series. Validation of this study resulted in improvements to the initial turntable design which was improved with a timing belt mechanism to stabilize the turntable rotation. Lighting of indoor/outdoor does not affect the system because the Pixy2 has an internal LED so that the color is detected properly. The results of sorting with the final turntable design have good performance with an average success of 97.96% and a standard error of 0.58.
