Abstract

A seaman is dealing with long distance relationship with main relatives especially spouse. On the other side of the normal human biological needs will certainly work normally anyway. Possibilities in order to deal with the biological desire, seafarer can only waiting petiently to go home to meet their partner or using sex aids. Various ways are also applied diverse. Some of them are loyal to the couple so they wait to go home to release desire, or perform a masturbation. They could also hire prostitutes. The various ways to release the passion could produced many effects, the most common is the impact of sexual health. Usually each individual understanding of literature related to PMS (Penyakit menular seksual) sexually transmitted disease STD, greatly affects the biological impingement. For those who know and understand the risk of STDs, preferred to conduct safe sex as faithful to their partner, or for those who like releasing desire with prostitute will use safety devices such as condoms. The conclusion of this research is the understanding of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to the seaman at Tanjung Emas in Semarang in 2013 has very positive influence.

Abstract

The International Convention on Training. Certification and Watchkeeping Standards for Seafarers 1978 (STCW1978), as amended in 1995 and last amended in 2010 the Manila Amendment 2010was intended to implement all changes agreed upon at STCW-95 by incorporating new technology. The time given by IMO to implement the 2010 STCW amendment convention to all its members in implementing changes is 5 years ending on January 1, 2017. This affects the institutions that provide education and training are required to be able to fulfill all changes and requirements. Shipping schools in Indonesia are required to apply the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number PM 70 of 2013 concerning Education and Training, Certification and the Guarding Service of Seafarers. The research method used is Indepth Interview or in-depth interviews with the population and samples are schools and shipping academies in the city of Semarang. Interviews were used to explore data related to the implementation of the 2010 STCWamendment rules in the schools concerned. The research data obtained are in the form of interviews written. The results of the interviews were then analyzed by understanding the relationship between the questions with each other by comparing the technical rules for the implementation of education and training for seafarers. The results of the study on the evaluation of the implementation of the 2010 amendment STCWas outlined in reference to the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number PM 70of 2013 obtained several conclusions. Shipping schools have difficulty meeting facilities including simulators. The biggest difficulty faced is funding because the price of simulators is quite expensive and the instructors are competent with seafarers. The role of the government is still very lacking in providing support and assistance in meeting the requirements that must exist for the smooth process of education.

Abstract

Keselamatan kerja adalah keselamatan yang bertalian dengan mesin, pesawat, alat bahan, proses pengolahan, landasan tempat kerja dan lingkungan tempat kerja serta cara melakukan pekerjaannya. Keselamatan kerja bertujuan untuk mengamankan aset serta memperlancar proses produksi dengan disertai perlindungan terhadap tenaga kerja khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya agar terbebas dari kemungkinan bahaya kecelakaan, kebakaran, peledakan, penyakit akibat kerja dan pencemaran lingkungan serta terhindar dari dampak negatif kemajuan teknologi. Oleh sebab itu, dalam peneltian ini peneliti mengangkat penelitian tentang hubungan penggunaan alat proteksi diri dengan angka kecelakaan kerja di kapal kargo di Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang. Ada dua perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini 1) Apakah ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara alat proteksi diri dengan angka kecelakaan kerja di kapal kargo di Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang; 2) Apakah alat proteksi diri dapat memberikan perlindungan yang tepat bagi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di kapal kargo di Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif analitis melalui penggambaran objek penelitian untuk dianalisa dam dicari model pengembangan atas objek tersebut.Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah kapal-kapal kargo yang sedang sandar atau berada di Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang. Penentuan sampel dengan cara purposive random sampling yaitu peneliti sudah menentukan secara langsung objek penelitian, baik untuk kapal maupun responden, yaitu kapal-kapal kargo yang sedang sandar di pelabuhan. Ada 3 metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, interview atau wawancara dan angket (kuesioner). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah 1) bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara penggunaan alat proteksi diri dengan angka kecelakaan kerja di kapal kargo di Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas Semarang, hal ini menjelaskan bahwa semakin baik penerapan penggunaan alat proteksi diri maka akan semakin kecil resiko kecelakaan kerja yang kemungkinan terjadi di kapal, begitu pula sebaliknya semakin jelek penerapan penggunaan alat proteksi diri maka semakin besar potensi resiko kecelakaan kerja di kapal kargo; 2) sebagai salah satu usaha untuk mengurangi resiko kecelakaan kerja, alat proteksi diri bisa menjadi solusi untuk menekan potensi resiko kecelakaan kerja di kapal kargo.
