Abstract

Background: Immediately after delivery, the uterus weighs about 1000 grams and then undergoes a proteolytic period, so that the uterine muscles become small to their original shape. In some circumstances, the uterine involution process does not work as it should, so that the reduction process is delayed. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and early mobilization on uterine involution in postpartum women at the Sepatan Health Center, Tangerang Regency. Methods: This research is analytic in nature with a cross-sectional approach using chi square. The sample used accidental sampling which amounted to 38 respondents. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis. Results: Respondents with normal nutritional status experienced normal uterine involution of 81.8% with P-value of 0.084 ≥ alpha (0.05) meaning that there was no relationship between nutritional status and uterine involution in postpartum women. Respondents with good early mobilization experienced normal uterine involution of 88% with P-value of 0.001 ≤ alpha (0.05) meaning that there was a relationship between early mobilization and uterine involution in postpartum mothers. Conclusion: Early mobilization is very important to improve blood circulation and expel vaginal discharge (lochea) and as an effort to accelerate uterine involution in postpartum women.

Abstract

Toddlers are very vulnerable to nutritional problems. Malnutrition or stunting in Banten in 2022 is 20%, not yet reaching the 2024 RPJMN target of 14%. One way to prevent malnutrition for toddlers is by increasing the knowledge of mothers or caregivers regarding balanced nutrition and eating guidelines. The aim of this community service is expected to provide education to mothers in providing food to toddlers with balanced nutrition in each portion of their meal. This community service method is through outreach by delivering material and direct interaction, using leaflets, posters and flip sheets. The activity was carried out at Posyandu Anggrek 2 in the Cipondoh Tangerang Community Health Center Working Area for 21 mothers who had toddlers. The results show that the majority of mothers of toddlers have attended nutritional guideline education but still need ongoing information to optimize the provision of balanced nutrition to their toddlers. Education is emphasized on the menu for each item on my plate according to the child's age. After the education was carried out, the knowledge of mothers of toddlers increased, marked by the ability to answer post-counseling evaluation questions

Abstract

WHO recommends that pregnant women engage in moderate intensity physical activity for at least 150 minutes per week during pregnancy and during postpartum. One form of physical activity during pregnancy can be done through pregnancy exercises. The aim of this community service activity is to improve the quality of antenatal care which is carried out by providing information and teaching pregnancy exercises to third trimester pregnant women who take part in the pregnancy class at the Az-Zahra Clinic, Tangerang City. This community service activity was carried out twice on Saturday, July 6 2024 and Saturday, July 13 2024 at the Az-Zahra Clinic, Tangerang City. The method used is counseling regarding the importance of implementing pregnancy exercises during pregnancy using power point media and implementing pregnancy exercise exercises accompanied by midwives and midwifery students who have received previous pregnancy exercise training. The participants were 12 pregnant women in the second and third trimesters. Community service activities are divided into preparation stages, activity implementation, and activity evaluation. It is hoped that this activity of implementing pregnancy exercise will continue to be sustainable, and can be carried out independently by every pregnant woman at home with the assistance of a midwife. So, through the implementation of pregnancy exercises you can optimize the health of the mother and fetus, and prepare for a safe, normal delivery.
