Chronic kidney failure patients who underwent regular hemodialysis at the Sanjiwani Hospital Gianyar in this study had a normal nutritional status of 40%, 26,7% patients are underweight, 20% patients are pre-obesity, 11,1% patients are obesity I, and 2,2% patients are obesity II. Chi-Square test result showed that there was a significant relationship between length of time undergoing hemodialysis and nutritional status of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing regular hemodialysis at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar (p = 0.011).

Abstract

Several studies have stated that HbA1c levels are known to be associated with the incidence of macrovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. Patients often have higher HbA1c levels than non-diabetic patients, so it is used as a way to test blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes. 2 to prevent complications. This study was done to assess the relationship between HbA1c levels and macrovascular complications so that HbA1c levels can be used to predict the prognosis and the main controller in preventing macrovascular complications. Analytic method was used and the design was cross-sectional. The research was done at the Sanjiwani Hospital Gianyar with a total sample of 53 people. The results of the chi-square test showed that t a significant relationship was found between Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels and the incidence of macrovascular complications with p value = 0.021 with HbA1c levels as a risk factor with POR value = 1.705. The conclusion was that there was a significant relationship between HbA1c levels and the occurrence of macrovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes.

A sample of 164 people who have met the exclusion and inclusion criteria, were obtained using the Consecutive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by SPSS. The chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were used to determine the relationship among comorbidities and the severity of COVID-19 infection. Based on the results of multiple logistic regression, the comorbid factors for the severity of COVID-19 infection were hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, COPD, pulmonary TB, chronic heart failure. The most dominant comorbid factor was pulmonary TB (Exp(B)=12,566 95% CI; 3,560 - 44,353).
