<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of self-concept and the role of parents on the decision to choose a major in the students. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 88 students, who were selected using probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The data collection method used is the scale of likert. The data analysis technique used is multiple liniear regression. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant effect of self-concept and the role of parents on the decision to choose a majors with a value Fcount = 11.854 > F table =3.10 and p value= 0.000 and had an influence contribution (R2) of 51.3 %; (2) there is a significant effect of self-concept on the decision to choose a majors with beta coefficient = 0.534, t count = 5.802 > t table = 1.984, and p = 0.000 (p<0.05); (3) there is a significant effect of the role of parents on the decision to choose a majors with beta coefficient = 0.250, t count = 2.721 > t table = 1.984, and p = 0.008 (p<0.05).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsep diri dan peran orang tua terhadap keputusan memilih programstudi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 88 orang yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan metode simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang dengan nilai F hitung = 11.854 > F tabel = 3.10 dan nilai p = 0.000 serta memiliki konstribusi pengaruh (R2) sebesar 51.3%; (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan konsep diri terhadap keputusan memilih program studi dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = 0.534, t hitung = 5.802 > t tabel = 1.988, dan p = 0.000 (p < 0.05); (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan peran orang tua terhadap keputusan memilih program studi dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) = 0.250, t hitung = 2.721 > t tabel = 1.988, dan p = 0.008 (p < 0.05).]]>
