Abstract

The development of traffic activities in the Kalimadu culinary center area is expected to attract vehicle movement in the area, causing generation and attraction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the road segment during the existing condition, during the operational period and in the post-operational period for the next 5 years. This research is located on Jalan Madura, Jalan Kalimantan, Jalan Irian, and Jalan Palu, Gorontalo City, which was carried out for three days of observation, namely Saturday, October 16 2021; Monday, October 18 2021; Thursday, October 21 2021 for 14 hours. starting at 06.00-20.00 WITA with time intervals of 15 minutes. Primary data is geometric data of roads, traffic volume, while secondary data is DED of Kalimadu culinary center and data on population of Gorontalo City. Road performance was analyzed using MKJI (1997). Based on the analysis of the performance of the road in the existing condition, the value of DS< 0.75 is obtained which indicates that the road segment can accommodate passing vehicles well where the ITP value is obtained "A", while during the operational period it causes trip generation and attraction due to activities from the central area. Kalimadu culinary delights which have an impact on the four roads, the results of the total towing trips are 189 vehicles/hour with ITP “A” on Jalan Palu and Jalan Irian, on Jalan Madura and Jalan Kalimantan, ITP “B” is obtained. In the post-operational period the results Analysis of the performance of Jalan Madura and Jalan Kalimantan there is an increase in traffic volume which affects the DS, where ITP is obtained "C".

Abstract

Subsidence is a change in the composition of the soil and small spaces in the soil. The method that can be chosen to reduce the rate of decline that occurs on the road is preloading and adding geotextiles. The purpose of this study was to analyze the settlement that occurred in the embankment soil before and after the geotextile was applied. The research location is on Jalan Tolango-Bulontio STA. 47+600 Wubudu Village, East Sumalata District, North Gorontalo Regency. The primary data used is the characteristics of the embankment soil, while the secondary data is in the form of plan drawings, N-SPT values, and geotextile characteristics. Land subsidence analysis was carried out by modeling in two dimensions using the finite element method with the help of the Plaxis 2d v20 application. Structural modeling using plane strain model. The results showed that the settlement of the embankment using geotextiles that the settlement of the embankment soil at point A (shoulder) was 33 mm <65 mm, while the settlement of the embankment without geotextile was greatest at point A (shoulder) of 33 mm. mm < 65 m (allowable descent). The settlement value of the embankment without geotextiles and the use of geotextiles did not have a significant difference because the geotextiles used only functioned as filtration, not as reinforcement

Abstract

Central Sulawesi Province is a province that has quite high mining activities, so an evaluation of the stability of open pit slope excavations needs to be carried out to prevent collapses during the exploration process which could result in loss of life. Analysis using the finite element method is one method that can be used to analyze slope deformation and stability during the excavation process. This research simulates excavation of a mine slope in 4 stages with a height of 5 m and a slope of 500. The analysis was carried out based on the results of the N-SPT test at three locations (GT-15617, GT-19125 and GT-19841) which are the slopes with the most extreme slopes. The analysis results show that at GT-15617 the maximum deformation occurred at stage 4 of the excavation at 0.18 m with a safety factor of 1.43, the maximum deformation at the GT-19125 location occurred at stage 4 at 0.21 m with a safety factor of 1.26 and at location GT-19841 maximum deformation occurred at stage 4 of 0.21 with a safety factor of 1.21. The overall safety factor analysis results do not meet the required minimum safety factor criteria.
