Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of the Degree of Financial Leverage (DFL) between PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk and PT Wings Group. DFL is important to measure because it reflects the extent of change in earnings per share resulting from changes in earnings before interest and taxes, thus serving as a key indicator of a company's financial risk. These two companies are compared because both are major players in the consumer goods industry in Indonesia with significant market shares, yet they have different ownership structures and operational strategies, making it interesting to examine their risk differences. This research is a quantitative comparative study using the financial statement data of both companies for the period 2020-2024. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling method, with the research samples being PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk and PT Wings Group. Data were collected through financial statement documentation techniques and analyzed using an Independent Sample t-Test. The descriptive results show that PT Wings Group has a higher and more fluctuating average DFL compared to PT Unilever Indonesia, whose DFL is more stable. However, the results of the Independent Sample t-Test indicate that there is no statistically significant difference in DFL between the two companies. The financial risk inherent in the capital structure of both companies is statistically within a balanced range within the same industry.

Abstract

The financial recording assistance activity for MSMEs in Sumberejo Village, Ambulu District, Jember Regency in August 2025 aims to improve business administration skills through the implementation of the Smart Cashier Application. The methods used include the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation with qualitative-based data analysis. The results of the activity show that MSMEs are able to switch from manual recording to more accurate and structured digital recording. Participants can monitor daily cash flow as well as compile simple financial statements that support business decision-making. The discussion emphasized that mentoring not only provides technical skills, but also forms a new mindset in business management. Technical constraints such as device limitations and differences in initial understanding can be overcome through hands-on methods and intensive guidance. An important finding from this activity is a change in the behavior of MSME actors in managing finances, increasing awareness of transparency, and increasing confidence in running a business. In addition, this activity supports research on the digitalization of MSMEs and shows that community-based interventions are effective in strengthening the foundations of business sustainability. Thus, technology-based assistance is an important strategy to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs at the local level.

Abstract

Employee loyalty has become an increasingly important challenge in Indonesian public sector organizations, particularly among non-civil servant employees who experience employment insecurity, limited career advancement opportunities, and disparities in organizational benefits. Although transformational leadership has been widely recognized as a determinant of employee loyalty, limited empirical evidence explains how Sharia-Based Transformational Leadership, grounded in Islamic ethical values, influences employee loyalty through psychological empowerment. This study aims to examine the direct effects of Sharia-Based Transformational Leadership, compensation, and perceived organizational support on employee loyalty and psychological empowerment, as well as the mediating role of psychological empowerment. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using survey data collected from 477 non-civil servant employees in local government organizations in Jember Regency, Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that Sharia-Based Transformational Leadership, compensation, and perceived organizational support significantly enhance psychological empowerment and employee loyalty. Psychological empowerment also serves as a significant mediator between the antecedent variables and employee loyalty. These findings extend Social Exchange Theory by integrating Islamic ethical leadership principles and suggest that strengthening Sharia-based leadership practices, equitable compensation, and organizational support can foster sustainable employee loyalty in Indonesian public sector organizations.
