Abstract

This study uses multiple regression analysis to examine the effect of interpersonal communication and organizational climate on the teacher performance of Maitreya Buddhist Sunday School in Indonesia. In this study the determination of the sample using the census method or total sampling with a total sample of 105 respondents. This study uses primary data, data is collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents via google forms. The results of the study show that: (1) interpersonal communication has a positive and significant effect on the teacher performance of Maitreya SMB in Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of 0.758, a determination coefficient of 0.575; (2) Organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on the teachers performance of Maitreya SMB in Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of 0.732, a coefficient of determination of 0.536; (3) Interpersonal communication and organizational climate have a positive and significant effect together on the teacher performance of SMB school in Indonesia with a correlation coefficient score of 0.827, a coefficient of determination of 0.684. Based on the results of the study, to optimize teacher performance, policies and regulations are needed to improve interpersonal communication and organizational climate.

Abstract

Objective: This is to share clinical experience in treating addiction to ‘soto’ food with meditative visualisation and provocation method. Method: Subject is an adult male suffering from addiction to soto for the last 5 years. He was treated as out patient. He was instructed to visualize the addicted food, being feeded into his mouth, chewed as usual, but not swallowed. Then he was instructed to visualize the soto food had been mixed with saliva and transformed so as not delicious anymore. On the second session, provocation was done using the real soto food, the same sequence was repeated. Patient was instructed to look in details the addicted soto food had turned into a disgusting thing. Results: After 2 sessions of treatment, each about 60 minutes, with one day interval, patient confessed free from soto addiction. The effect was durable at 6 months follow up. Conclusion: The meditative visualisation-provocation therapy is effective in treatment of food addiction within two days.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to test empirically the ef ect of learning motivation, emotionalintelligence, learning motivation and emotional intelligence simultaneously on the Mathematical learningoutcome of Buddhist-based vocational high school students in Tangerang Raya. This study uses quantitativemethods, with the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 210, 11th grade students of the Buddhist Foundation Vocational School in Tangerang Raya. Test the validity of theinstrument using Pearson Product Moment and test the reliability using Alpha Cronbach. Data analysisused multiple linear regression. The results showed that learning motivation and emotional intelligence hada significant ef ect on mathematics learning outcome for class XI SMK students as evidenced by asignificance value of 0.000<0.05. Learning motivation and emotional intelligence simultaneously af ect themathematics learning outcome of class XI SMK students as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 <0.05.
