Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi fisik peserta didik KKO SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan dan SMA Negeri 2 Ngaglik. Kondisi Fisik dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada kekuatan, daya tahan, kecepatan, power, flexibility, dan kelincahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan survei dengan pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 118 peserta didik, diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrument dalam penelitian ini yaitu kekuatan otot lengan (Push Up), kekuatan otot perut (Sit Up), kekuatan otot kaki (Standing Board Jump), daya tahan (MFT), kecepatan (Sprint 30 m), power (Vertical Jump), kelentukan (Sit Reach), dan kelincahan (Illinois Run Test). Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: profil tingkat kondisi fisik peserta didik KKO SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan berada pada kategori “sangat baik” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik), “baik” sebesar 70% (21 peserta didik), “cukup” sebesar 30% (9 peserta didik), “kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik), dan “sangat kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik). Sedangkan profil kondisi fisik peserta didik KKO SMA Negeri 2 Ngaglik berada pada kategori “sangat baik” sebesar 3% (1 peserta didik), “baik” sebesar 83% (25 peserta didik), “cukup” sebesar 13% (4 peserta didik), “kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik), dan “sangat kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik). Profil kondisi fisik peserta didik KKO SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan dan SMA Negeri 2 Ngaglik berada pada kategori “sangat baik” sebesar 2% (1 peserta didik), “baik” sebesar 77% (46 peserta didik), “cukup” sebesar 22% (13 peserta didik), “kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik), dan “sangat kurang” sebesar 0% (0 peserta didik).

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of handgrip training with a pressure load of 30 kg on increasing hand muscle strength (2) the difference in the effect of handgrip training with a pressure load of 30 kg between the treatment group and the control group on increasing hand muscle strength. This type of research is an experiment with a one group pre test and post test design. The sample in this study amounted to 77 people who were taken using a random sampling technique. Subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the group that was given treatment as many as 36 people and the control group as many as 31 people. The instrument used is to measure hand muscle strength, namely the handgrip dynamometer test. The data analysis technique used was the independent sample t test and continued with the paired sample t-test. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant effect of handgrip dynamometer training on increasing hand muscle strength with a significance value of less than 0.05 (p <0.05). 2) There was a significant difference in the effect between the treatment group and the control group on increasing hand muscle strength, it was proven that the average hand muscle strength in the treatment group was 53.76 while the hand muscle strength in the control group was 40.75 with a post-test average difference of 13.01. The group that was given the treatment had better hand muscle strength compared to the control group that didn't get the treatment.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to the effect of modified forms of exercise on increasing VO2Max in college students. In particular, This study focuses on assessing the effectiveness of interval training modifications, particularly in the form of walking exercises, in increasing VO2Max in college students. This study followed a quantitative approach, using an experimental design known as the one-group pre-test and post-test design. Cooper's test is used as a research instrument in this study. The study was undertaken with participants from the Department of Sports Development, Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The findings of this study can be used as a reference for implementing a modified form of interval training, especially using walking patterns, to increase VO2Max in college students. Data analysis technique using Paired Sample t Test. The treatment group that underwent walking exercise experienced a significant increase in VO2Max, although the level of significance varied. In particular, the walking treatment group showed a significant increase with a significance value of 0.000.
