Abstract

Background: Floods cause various kinds of losses in the form of property losses and social losses. Floods in Sirau Village routinely occur every year because of the village's geographical location which is concave, but the community is always not ready to make any preparations if a flood occurs, such as planning evacuation locations, carrying out evacuation simulation exercises, not preparing a first aid box or preparing a special place to store archives. important. People need to have good self-efficacy and knowledge to overcome problems in order to avoid their impacts. Method: This research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The sample was 46 respondents using proportional random sampling technique. Then the Wilcoxon test is used for statistical tests. This research instrument uses a questionnaire to collect data, and comic media as an educational intervention. Results: This research shows that the majority of respondents received a good category after the intervention with a Self Efficacy level of 73.9%. The p value obtained from the Wilcoxon test is 0.00 < 0.05. This means that there is a significant influence on the level of self-ability on preparedness for flood disasters. Conclusion: Good Self Efficacy will influence the Respondent's abilities and skills in managing or dealing with uncontrollable situations such as disasters.

Abstract

Background: The mortality rate can be reduced with first aid in patients who experience happy hypoxia by adjusting the breathing pattern using breathing techniques to maintain or increase oxygen saturation values. People do not fully know that there are breathing techniques that can increase oxygen saturation.. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Buteyko's breathing on the value of oxygen saturation in Covid-19 patients. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental type of research with pretest and posttest methods in two groups with 2 interventions, the Buteyko technique and deep breathing relaxation. Samples were taken 32 respondents at the Quarantine House. Result: Analysis test using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value 0.005, so there is a difference in SaO2 between respondents who use breathing with the Buteyko technique. Conclusion: Buteyko has an influence on the patient's SaO2 value. Buteyko breathing therapy is a complementary therapy or complementary therapy that cannot be done alone, however, to be able to carry out the Buteyko breathing technique intervention, nurses must be able to carry it out properly so that it is necessary to increase knowledge and skills through training or breathing seminars, especially regarding Buteyko breathing techniques.

The purpose of this study is to describe the life experiences of the Sirau Village community in using bore well water after the flood disaster for their health. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research design with a population of Sirau Village people who have experience using bore well water, this research uses a purposive sampling technique for Sirau Village people who have experience in using bore well water for health for their daily needs and has appropriate criteria with the stipulated, in this case the number of informants involved was 5 people. Data collection techniques through in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews). The data analysis technique taken is the collaizi technique. The results of the study show that there are 3 themes that determine the community's life experiences in using bore well water after the flood disaster. Abstract

Cardiac arrest remains a major concern in healthcare due to its high mortality rate, with more than 100 deaths annually worldwide and 5% occurring in Indonesia. One recommended first aid method is Hands-Only CPR. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Self-Directed Learning videos on Hands-Only CPR using SIKOMJARU on the compression quality of Hands-Only CPR performed by community health volunteers in Kalisaleh Village. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a total sampling technique, involving 40 participants who received identical interventions. Compression quality was assessed using the Hands-Only CPR SOP from the American Heart Association (AHA), performed on the SIKOMJARU CPR education phantom. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test, yielding significant results with a p-value of 0.000. The findings demonstrated that Self-Directed Learning videos on Hands-Only CPR using SIKOMJARU were effective in improving the compression quality of Hands-Only CPR. This method offered an efficient educational solution to enhance the capability of Kalisaleh Village health volunteers in managing out-of-hospital cardiac arrest cases.

Abstract

Floods are among the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia, including in Sirau Village, Kemranjen District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province. These recurring floods, occurring almost annually, result in significant infrastructure damage, economic losses, and health challenges for the affected communities. Moreover, the lack of preparedness, particularly among children, remains a critical issue. Preliminary interviews with the principal and students at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Sirau revealed that most students exhibit low levels of self-efficacy regarding flood disaster preparedness. This study employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population comprised 40 fourth- and fifth-grade students from MI Muhammadiyah 01 Sirau, with total sampling used as the sampling method. Research instruments included the SIMBA (Siaga Menghadapi Banjir) puzzle and a self-efficacy questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The analysis revealed a significant improvement in students' self-efficacy levels after using the SIMBA puzzle, with a p-value of 0.001 (p 0.005). This finding confirms that the SIMBA puzzle effectively enhances students' confidence and preparedness in dealing with flood disasters. The SIMBA (Siaga Menghadapi Banjir) puzzle is an effective educational tool for improving self-efficacy among school-age children in flood disaster preparedness.
