Abstract

Banjar Kemuning Village, most of which are located on the coast, should use a lot of this potential to develop MSMEs. One of the potentials that can be found in coastal areas is seashells. Although the potential for shells is found in Banjar Kemuning Village, shellfish crafts have not been touched to develop at all. To realize the expected conditions of the assisted subjects, the method in this empowerment program uses Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). The implementation of devotion for coastal communities can be concluded successfully until the training stage of making nine forms of shell shell crafts. 80% of participants have understood the process of processing shells into high-value craft, so that the use of natural resources to improve the family economy at times especially low season can be achieved.

Abstract

Kampoeng Sinaoe Siwalanpanji Buduran Sidoarjo is a non-formal institution that has implemented a contextual learning model with the aim of improving English language skills by relating it to everyday life so that students feel not burdened in learning English which for some people is a difficult subject. This study aims to:  find out the application of contextual learning models, to find out the improvement of English skills using contextual learning models, and  to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of contextual learning in improving English skills in Kampoeng Sinaoe Siwalanpanji Buduran Sidoarjo. The research method used is a phenomenological approach, a type of field research that is descriptive qualitative in nature. The research objects were elementary school students participating in Bronze I and Bronze II from January to February 2020. The results of the study stated that: 1) The application of Contextual Teaching and Learning refers to the main vision of the institution, namely creating a dignified learning society to build national civilization by based on lifelong education (Lifelong Education Based), the application of Contextual Learning does not require large costs and special media is not only related to learning in class, but is related to student experiences that are seen, heard, and felt by students who can change behavior and student learning outcomes. In this case the forms of Contextual Learning that are applied include: a) Providing examples or role models, b) Habituation, c) Motivation, and c) Punishment.  Improving English Proficiency through Contextual Learning through techniques: 1) Field Study (Case Study/direct object) 2) Songs and Games / Teaching English by using song, 3) The Reading Method, 4) Teaching English by using games, 5) Conversation Method. Supporting factors, namely: internal factors consisting of: the existence of social activities, the presence of foreign teachers, schools require teachers to interact with students, and teachers are able to master every school subject and become professional teachers. Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach, This type of research uses a type of experimental research, starting from February 1 to May 28, 2022 at SDN Mandung 03, located in Mandung Village, Kokop District, Bangkalan Regency, East Java. The time of this study was carried out in May face-to-face. The independent variable in this study is audio-visual media rokat tase' and the variable tied to this study is student learning outcomes.                   There  is an influence on student learning outcomes Based on the results of correlation analysis using the pearson correlation test with the help of windows 26 it can be seen that the significance value for audio-visual media rokat tase' and learning outcomes less than is 0.000 less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05), this is in accordance with the correlation interpretation guideline table 0.978 is in the interval 0.80-1.000,  which shows a correlation "very strong" this from the table above we can know the pearson correlation or Tcalculate value is 0.978 and for Ttable the correlation is 0.413, so the conclusion is that variable X to variable Y has a correlation with the degree of relationship, namely the correlation is very strong and the form of the relationship is positive.

Abstract

Information media is widely used in daily activities, including social media, marketplaces, promotions, banners, flyers, pamphlets, and brochures. However, to effectively engage the community, the chosen media must feature well-designed, unique, and attractive visuals that motivate action. Tropodo Village has an official website but lacks the human resources to utilize it for promoting local products through the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the "Bumi Asih" Village-Owned Enterprise (Bumdes). To address this issue, this empowerment program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method. The results demonstrated success in creating copywriting and Canva-based content, with 80% of participants gaining an understanding of how to design appealing content that attracts consumers. This initiative has contributed to enhancing the creative economy within the Tropodo Village community.

Abstract

The RGL (Rimau Gerga Lebong) citrus orchard in Malang Regency, East Java (7°55'12“ S; 112°33'45” E) was the location for this study, which focused on the problem of declining pollinator populations in fruit cultivation areas. The study aimed to analyze pollinator diversity in three types of flowering plants sunflowers (Helianthus annuus), marigolds (Tagetes erecta), and wild cosmos (Cosmos caudatus) grown around citrus orchards, while evaluating their contribution to agroecosystem stability within the framework of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Field observations were conducted from June to December 2024 using a combination of visual censuses and sweep net methods along 100 m × 2 m transects. From the observation results, 29 pollinator species from 10 families were identified, with Apidae as the dominant group that was consistently present in all treatments. These findings indicate that planting flowering plants around RGL orange orchards could support the recovery of pollinator communities while strengthening ecosystem services in integrated agricultural systems.Refuge planting increased species richness (R = 3.87 vs. 3.40 in controls) and total pollinator abundance, although the Shannon-Wiener Index (H’) in refuge areas (1.696) was lower than in controls (2.075), attributable to the disproportionate dominance of Amata huebneri. Sunflower refuge supported the highest pollinator diversity and abundance, marigold effectively attracted Syrphidae and Meliponini stingless bees, while wild cosmos enriched Lepidoptera and solitary bee composition. Bray-Curtis cluster analysis and PCA ordination confirmed that each refuge type produced distinct qualitative shifts in pollinator community structure. This study recommends implementing multispecies refuge systems combining all three plant species proportionally to prevent single-species dominance, broaden pollinator guild diversity, and optimize integrated pollination and biological control services in RGL citrus agroecosystems.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of globalization and information technology has significantly influenced the shift in students’ moral values and character formation. Amid these transformations, teachers play a strategic role in nurturing students’ spiritual intelligence through the implementation of the hidden curriculum. This study aims to describe the implementation of the hidden curriculum, the teacher’s role, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping students’ spiritual intelligence at MI Bahrul Ulum Wiyung Surabaya. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the hidden curriculum is implemented across dimensions of worship, social behavior, and morality. Teachers serve as role models, mentors, knowledge transmitters, parental figures at school, and evaluators. Supporting factors include discipline in worship and extracurricular religious activities, while inhibiting factors involve limited parental support, differences in students’ religious abilities, and low awareness of spiritual practices.
