Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic, students are asked to study at home using e-learning that utilizes social media. The problems to be answered in this study are as follows: 1. How is the implementation of e-learning mathematics for class IV students at MI Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik?, 2. What are the supporting factors in implementing e-learning mathematics for class IV students at MI Al- Azhar Menganti Gresik?, 3. What are the inhibiting factors and solutions in the implementation of e-learning mathematics for fourth grade students of MI Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik?. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subject of the principal, the head of the curriculum, class teachers and fourth grade students. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman model with data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the research regarding the implementation of e-learning mathematics for fourth grade students of MI-Azhar is the implementation of learning that is carried out without direct face-to-face between teachers and students as well as accessing the internet network and using social media to exchange information and interactions Among them is by using the whatsapp application, google meet and youtube. Then the supporting factors for e-learning learning are the very rapid development of IT, a good and stable signal network. While the inhibiting factors for e-learning learning are the internet network which is less stable, the unavailability of internet package quotas.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were teachers and students of MI Miftahut Tholibin Gresik. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, documentation. This study aims to determine the implementation of character values in Surah al Ahzab verse 21 according to the interpretation of al misbah at MI Miftahut Tholibin Gresik. what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of character education values in surah al ahzab verse 21 according to the interpretation of al misbah at MI Miftahut Tholibin Gresik. The results of the study show: first, the values of character education in Surah al Ahzab verse 21 are the character of uswatun repertoire, the character of Sidiq, Amanah, Fathanah and Tabligh which are implemented into the method of habituation and punishment. in the form of habituation of exemplary done by teachers, habituation of fardhu prayers, habituation of three languages and habituation of clean and beautiful Fridays carried out by students and teachers. There are supporting factors in the form of cooperation from school residents, the cohesiveness of educators and community participation. Thus it can be concluded that MI Miftahut Tholibin Gresik implements the values of character education in Surah al Ahzab verse 21 according to the interpretation of al misbah well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not the discovery learning method has an influence on learning outcomes and students' scientific attitudes in the natural sciences subject matter of the properties of light for class V and to determine student responses to the learning process using discovery learning methods. This research was conducted at SDN Menganti. The research method used was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design and sampling using saturated sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 30 VA class students as the experimental class and 30 VB class students as the control class. The research instrument used was the instrument of learning outcomes and scientific attitudes and the results were tested using the t-test. From the results of the calculation of the t test for learning outcomes, the tcount value is 3.95 while the ttable value is 2 as well as the scientific attitude t test calculation obtained a tcount value of 7.05 while the ttable value is 2 at a significance level of α 0.05 with the determination of –ttable ≤ tcount ≤ ttable. Then Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the discovery learning method on learning outcomes and scientific attitudes in class V science subjects.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an is not something easy but it is also not impossible, because at the time of the Prophet many people memorized the Qur'an. In public or private schools, introducing students to the Koran, teaching them to read and memorizing it is the responsibility of a teacher. Therefore, to be able to fulfill his duties as a teacher in providing guidance, the teacher must of course make various efforts because the success or success of a student in memorizing depends on the efforts made by the teacher. The aim of this research is to determine the efforts of a tahfidz teacher and the obstacles – what obstacles do teachers face in improving students' memorization of the Koran at SDIT Ustman Bin Affan Surabaya. This research is qualitative field research. The subjects of this research were tahfidz teachers, as well as students at SDIT Ustman Bin Affan Surabaya. The data collection method uses observation, interviews and documentation. After that, the data is presented in an appropriate form so that it is easy to read and can be understood, then the data is analyzed and conclusions are drawn. Based on the research results, the efforts made by teachers to improve students' memorization of the Qur'an at SDIT Ustman Bin Affan Surabaya are: providing motivation to students, giving assignments and punishments to students, guiding students to remain muraja'ah, using appropriate methods. varies. Apart from teachers trying to improve students' memorization of the Qur'an, tahfidz teachers also experience obstacles, including: there are students who still do not read the Qur'an well, teachers' health which can interfere with teaching and learning activities, lack of motivation from students in memorizing the Qur'an, there is a feeling of laziness on the part of students when memorizing the Qur'an, as well as time allocation

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the creative thinking ability of third-grade students at MI Tarbiyatul Ulum Pengampon Menganti Gresik through the implementation of the Mind Mapping method. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 20 third-grade students. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, creative thinking tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive and quantitative techniques. The results showed an improvement in teacher activity from 60.2% in Cycle I to 82.0% in Cycle II, and student activity increased from 52.7% to 82.3%. In addition, students’ creative thinking abilities—covering fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—also improved significantly in Cycle II. These findings indicate that Mind Mapping effectively helps students organize information visually, understand conceptual relationships, and develop ideas more creatively. Therefore, the Mind Mapping method is appropriate as an innovative learning strategy to enhance creative thinking skills among lower-grade students in Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

The main problem in science and social studies (IPAS) learning at elementary schools is the low level of student engagement and the lack of critical thinking skills due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods. This study aims to improve students’ learning activities and outcomes through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 37 fourth-grade students of MI Miftahul Huda Gempol Kurung Menganti Gresik in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation, and analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed an improvement in teacher activity from 77.63% to 90.78%, and student activity from 75.52% to 88.15%. The average pretest score increased from 62.8% to 75.4%, while the posttest score rose from 71.3% to 82.2%. The percentage of students achieving mastery also improved significantly from 43.2% in cycle I to 83.7% in cycle II. Thus, the implementation of PBL proved effective in enhancing students’ learning activity, engagement, and critical thinking skills in IPAS learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The Make a Match cooperative learning model is an innovation of the cooperative learning model that emphasizes collaboratively finding pairs of question and answer cards to create an active and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The problem of this research is the low learning outcomes and activeness of fourth-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Betiting Cerme Gresik due to teacher-centered learning. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Make a Match model. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles which include the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 20 students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques used tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed an increase in the average score from 60.5 in the pretest to 72.0 in cycle I and 82.4 in cycle II. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 10% to 50% and reached 85%. Thus, the Make a Match model is effective in improving student learning outcomes, participation, and interaction.
