Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to 1) develop the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media, 2) know the quality of the content and the appearance of the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media, 3) know the student assessment towards the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media, 4) know the improvement of student achievement of the fifth grade in 01 Sriwijaya Elementary School through developing the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media on changes on earth appearance and sky objects. This study was conducted in 01 Sriwijaya Elementary School. This was a Research and Development (R&D) with 23 students in total as samples. The development of smart card media in the study included 10 steps consisting of: 1) the potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision, 6)product trial, 7)product revision, 8) utility testing, 9) revision of the product and 10) mass production. Interview, test, observation, questionnaire, and documentation were used to collect the data. The data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1) the development on teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media was done trought systematic steps, 2) the quality of the content and the appearance of the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart card media based on material expert validation obtained 3.33 score in average in the middle deverse category wheres from media expert assessment it reached 2.91 score in average in the middle deserve category, 3) Students evaluation towards the teaching materials of the character-based social science on limited testing gained 3.4 in average in deserve category and the evaluation result on field testing showed 3.5 score in average in the deserve category. 4) the teaching materials of the character-based social science used smart media card could improve the student achievement of the fifth grade in 01 Sriwijaya Elementary School which can be proved by the increase of the students average score and most of the students had not passed the passing grade. In the limited testing, the pre-test showed 5.5 score in average and most of the students had not passed the passing grade (66.7%), while the post-test showed 7.33 score in average and all students passed the passing grade (100%). In the field testing, the pre-test showed 6.35 score in average and most of the students had not passed the passing grade (52.9%), while the post-test showed 7.82 score in average and most students passed the passing grade (94.1%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Children are a mandate that Allah entrusts to both parents. Children basically have to get adequate care, protection, attention and education from both parents, because the child's personality when he grows up and keshalehan in behavior is very dependent on his childhood education, especially education obtained from parents or family and the environment in which the child lives. Furthermore, education for children based on the concept of Islam must be maximally applied by all educators, both parents and education at schools so that the implementation of education in accordance with the concept of children's education that has been taught in the Al Quran can help make the child's personality become good. Both in terms of character, ethics, and servitude to Allah SWT. This research is a qualitative literature research. The method used is the library research method. by using the documentation method as data collection analysis, and using inductive analysis in data analysis techniques. The main source in this research is Al-Quran and relevant books and the data analysis technique of this research is using hemeneutic descriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of research data analysis, it can be concluded that the concept of education in Islam that must be implemented from the beginning to children is education about monotheism, Aqidah, education to do good to parents, education of divine values, education to perform prayers and education of politeness or ethics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan jumlah sampel seluruhnya 28 siswa. Pengembangan Media Komik dalam penelitian ini meliputi langkah-langkah yang terdiri atas: 1) potensi dan masalah, 2) pengumpulan data, 3) produk desain, 4) validasi desain, 5) revisi desain, 6) uji coba produk, 7) revisi produk, 8) uji coba pemakaian, 9) revisi produk dan 10) produksi massal. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi, kuesioer, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data tes menggunakan analisis expert judgment (ahli/validator) kemudian instrumen tes, validitas butir soal, reliabilitas tes, analisis daya beda soal dan analisis kesukaran soal. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar menggunakan nilai rata-rata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) Pengembagan Media Komik sebagai bahan ajar IPS materi pengaruh kegiatan ekonomi terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat pada siswa kelas IV SDIT Bina Insan Madani Baradatu berawal dari analisis kebutuhan dengan melaukan observasi dan wawancara dengan pihak sekolah. Selanjutnya melakukan pengumpulan data ternyata banyak nilai ulangan siswa yang belum mecapai KKM. Kemudian penelitian menelaah silabus dan membuat desain media komik serta instrumen penelitian seperti lembar observasi angket validasi, angket respon siswa, dan tes. Tahap berikutnya validasi desain oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Saran dari validator dijadikan bahan revisi desain. Selanjutnya produk dilakukan uji coba terbatas sebanyak 5 siswa dan uji coba lapangan sebanyak 23 siswa. Hasil respon siswa dijadikan acuan untuk merevisi produk sehingga dihasilkan media komik sebagai bahan ajar IPS yang berkualitas. 2) Kualitas isi serta tampilan komik sebagai bahan ajar IPS berdasarkan penilaian validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor memperoleh jumlah skor 3,20 dalam kategori cukup layak. Penilaian ahli media terhadap media komik sebagai bahan ajar IPS kelas IV memperoleh jumlah skor 47 dalam kategori cukup layak. 3) Penilaian siswa terhadap komik sebagai bahan ajar pada uji coba terbatas memperoleh jumlah skor 38,0 dalam kategori layak dan hasil penilaian pada uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa jumlah skor sebesar 42,8 dalam kategori sangat layak. 4) Media komik sebagai bahan ajar IPS dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDIT Bina Insan Madani Baradatu yang dibuktikan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan dan sebagian besartelah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan.
