Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing gas emissions produced by industrial, automotive and household activities which mostly use fossil energy as an energy source. CO2 capture is introduced to the use of gasification technology in an effort to reduce CO2 emissions which are one of the causes of the greenhouse effect. The role of microwave is also introduced as an effort to increase thermal efficiency and increase production and quality of syngas and its role in reducing tar which is known to be high in biomass gasification. The utilization of water vapor is also clearly disclosed and its effect on syngas products, especially hydrogen gas. The role of the parameters that affect the gasification process is analyzed to see which variant has the best role in improving the quality and quantity of syngas. Research development opportunities are presented by looking at research gaps and future prospects

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran basic electro pneumatic trainer dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Hidrolik & Pneumatik di Politeknik Krakatau. Latar belakang penelitian ini didorong oleh pentingnya kompetensi praktis mahasiswa vokasi dalam menghadapi tuntutan industri modern, terutama pada bidang mekanika fluida. Metode yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimen dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest, melibatkan 30 mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Teknologi Rekayasa Elektrikal Mekanik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 63,3 pada pretest menjadi 83,8 pada posttest, dengan selisih 20,5 poin. Uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) yang mengindikasikan perbedaan signifikan. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain Score sebesar 57% juga menunjukkan efektivitas pada kategori cukup. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media basic electro pneumatic trainer terbukti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep serta keterampilan mahasiswa secara signifikan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi institusi pendidikan vokasi dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan aplikatif demi menghasilkan lulusan yang siap bersaing di dunia industri

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and implement an effective character development model for Vocational High School (SMK) students in Banten Province, Indonesia. Recognizing the importance of character alongside technical skills in producing well-rounded graduates, a mixed-methods approach was employed to gather comprehensive data. Qualitative data was obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis, while quantitative data was collected through student questionnaires. The findings revealed that SMK students value discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and mutual cooperation. However, current character development programs in schools are often fragmented and not fully integrated into daily learning. To address this, a three-component character development model was designed: 1) integrating character values into the curriculum, 2) strengthening extracurricular programs, and 3) providing personalized student support. Implementation of the model demonstrated positive outcomes, including improved student knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the targeted character values. Additionally, students reported increased motivation, better social relationships, and enhanced workforce readiness. This study underscores the importance of prioritizing character development in SMK education. Schools should integrate character values into all aspects of school life, equip teachers with the necessary competencies, and foster collaboration among schools, families, and the community to create a conducive environment for student character growth.
