Abstract

This study investigates the manner in which educational institutions, specifically schools, implement marketing communication strategies. RA Yasdjanur is an Islamic-based kindergarten that was established in 2005 and has advantages in character building and home visit programs. This study aims to determine the marketing communication strategy to increase RA Yasdjanur Bogor enrollment in 2021/2022. The theoretical framework consists of the marketing communication strategy and marketing communication mix theories. This research approach is qualitative with a descriptive method. By examining the stages of communication and promotional tools implemented via interviews and additional supporting data. The results of this study indicate that RA Yasdjanur uses all elements of the marketing communication mix to increase student enrollment, but the most effective is social media promotion. In addition, RA Yasdjanur executes all phases of developing effective communication to achieve the school's objective of increasing enrollment.

Abstract

Social media has become an important marketing tool for businesses to attract consumers. Instagram, as one of the popular visual platforms, has become an effective marketing tool for the photography industry, including Koneksi Studio. This research aims to analyse the Instagram social media management strategy applied by Koneksi Studio in attracting consumers in 2024. The theory used is The Circular Model of SOME by Regina Luttrell in her book social media How to Engage, Share, and Connect. This research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique is an interview with the manager of Koneksi Studio and the social media specialist of Koneksi Studio. This research uses source triangulation for data validity techniques. From the results of the study, it is known that content management on Instagram social media, the share aspect starts with understanding the purpose of using social media for studio connections. The optimise aspect, namely by making a schedule of posting hours and utilising the features available on Instagram. The management aspect is done by managing and evaluating Instagram content regularly. In the engagement aspect, namely establishing good relationships with online communities such as involving influencers, and also communicating with followers via Direct Message to get instagram exposure for the content produced.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities often face difficulties in communication and learning due to weaker intellectual functioning. SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping, located in the Sleman district of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, is one of the special schools in Jogja dedicated to educating children with special needs. The use of various communication methods in learning is essential for fostering effective teacher-student interactions. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted using interviews to collect data. The study found that Muhammadiyah Gamping Special School employs repetitive communication methods, supported by media tools such as Assmblr Edu, to enhance teaching and learning activities.
