Abstract

The change in designation of Bukit Duabelas area into Bukit Duabelas National Park in Jambi province raises a conflict between the national park official who was ruling the zonation system in the national park and the Orang Rimba people who have lived there for many years. The decision of the protected area aims to preserve the life and culture of Orang Rimba. However, zoning rules in the field are interpreted as an effort to limit space and access to the forest resources for Orang Rimba who have traditionally utilized them. This research uses a case study approach to explore the dynamics of conflict on the protected area. The results of the study show that conflicts in national park management are very dynamic because of shifting disagreement about the protection area. The conflicts began with debates about the zoning system which led into the fight for access to the park resources which were contested over the concept of national parks and customary forests. This paper argues the battle over the national park was not only about contested natural resources but also was a fight for authority and power between the state and indigenous people over the concept of park management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the direct or indirect effect of the role of social media on consumer buying interest in halal cosmetic products in Jambi City, with consumer perception as an intervening variable. The research sample used was 96 respondents, where data from the sample was collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed by partial least squares path modeling (PLS) technique. The results of the direct influence test prove that: (1) the role of social media and consumer perceptions directly have a significant effect on consumer buying interest in halal cosmetics, and (2) the role of social media directly has a significant effect on consumer perceptions of halal cosmetics. For the mediating effect of the consumer perception variable, it is evident that consumer perception can mediate the indirect effect of the role of social media on consumer buying interest in halal cosmetics.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Lingkungan, Gerasi, Ekonomi hijau, Kelembagaan, Aktor bukan negara, Pembangunan berkelanjutan Abstract This study aims to explain that green growth is strongly influenced by multi-stakeholder institutional design by considering various key aspects: economic, social, and environmental. Many studies have found that the challenges of green growth include institutionalisation, respect for natural resources, and the choice between economic growth or environmental conservation. Data sources were taken from various articles which were then reviewed and classified on the concepts of sustainable development, green growth, green financing, green cooperation, institutions, as well as decision-making. The final result shows that multi-sectoral institutions that involve many elements, especially those outside the government, must pay attention to the basic aspects of decision making, institutional format, basis of formation and institutional commitment. Abstract

Studies on Indonesian local elections have covered identity politics, patronage, and candidate charisma in great detail, but they don't provide much empirical data on how actual policy performance affects public satisfaction and incumbent electability at the province level. There is a research gap regarding whether policy-driven satisfaction quantitatively translates into voter support, especially in decentralized regions where visibility and impact of government programs vary significantly. This is because scholars have rarely integrated public service satisfaction metrics with electoral behavior. By examining whether local government policy effectiveness directly affects satisfaction levels and, in turn, determines incumbent electability in Jambi Province, this study closes that gap. 880 respondents were chosen for this quantitative survey study utilizing a multistage random sampling procedure with a 4% margin of error, and SPSS was used for analysis. The results show that a number of development initiatives, most notably the Dumisake Program, were carried out under the Haris–Sani administration (2020–2024) and received strong public support. While electability data reveals that 51.50% of respondents planned to vote for Haris-Sani in the 2024 Governor Election, the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) reveals that 60.40% of respondents were satisfied with the administration's plans. The official election result, in which Haris-Sani easily defeated Romi-Sudirman and was subsequently appointed for the 2025–2030 term, clearly represented these opinions. The study finds that increased public satisfaction with local government programs significantly and favorably affects the incumbent's electability, indicating that policy performance continues to be a crucial factor in determining voter behavior in regional elections.
