Abstract

PENGARUH EDUKASI PERAWAT TERHADAP PERILAKU PASIENTENTANG KETEPATAN CUCI TANGANPADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19THE EFFECT OF NURSE EDUCATION ON PATIENT BEHAVIORABOUT OF PROPER HAND HYGIENE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMICABSTRAKRendahnya kesadaran masyarakat menjalankan protokol kesehatan mengakibatkan tingginya angka penularan COVID-19. Diperlukan pencegahan primer pada individu, salah satunya berperilaku bersih yaitu rajin melakukan kebersihan tangan berupa cuci tangan dengan tepat. Edukasi kesehatan merupakan strategi utama untuk menyadarkan masyarakat bahwa COVID-19 bisa dikendalikan dengan mengubah perilaku hidup sehat dan bersih.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi perawat terhadap perilaku pasien tentang ketepatan cuci tangan pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Advent Manado. Jumlah responden 105 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur perilaku : pengatahuan, sikap dan tindakan tentang ketepatan cuci tangan pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan model quasi experiment dengan pendekatan one grup pre test post test. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (paired sample t-test) namun sebelumnya sudah dilakukan uji normalitas dan didapati data berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada variabel pengetahuan dimana nilai rata-rata sebelum diberi edukasi 14.63 dan sesudah diberi edukasi meningkat menjadi 20.68 nilai ρ=0.000 (ρ < 0.05), variabel sikap nilai rata-rata sebelumnya 15.81 meningkat menjadi 22.63 dengan nilai ρ=0.000 (ρ < 0.05) dan variabel tindakan nilai rata-rata sebelumnya 11.47 meningkat menjadi 17.17 dengan nilai ρ=0.000 (ρ < 0.05). Berdasarkan hasil uji t disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh edukasi perawat terhadap perilaku pasien tentang ketepatan cuci tangan pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Advent Manado.Kata Kunci : COVID-19;cuci tangan;edukasi;perilaku;ABSTRACKThe low level of public awareness of implementing health protocols has resulted in a high rate of transmission of COVID-19. Primary prevention is needed in individuals, one of which is clean behavior, namely diligently doing proper hand hygiene. Health education is the main strategy to make the public aware that COVID-19 can be controlled by changing healthy and clean living behavior. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of nurse education on patient behavior regarding the accuracy of hand hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Manado Adventist Hospital.The number of respondents is 105 people. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire to measure behavior: knowledge, attitudes and actions about the accuracy of hand hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental model with a one group pre-test post-test approach. Data analysis used the t-test (paired sample t-test) and previously the normality test was carried out and the data was found to be normally distributed. The results showed the knowledge variable where the average value before being given education was 14.63 and after being given education increased to 20.68 the value of = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05), the attitude variable the previous average value of 15.81 increased to 22.63 with a value of = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05) and the previous mean value of the action variable was 11.47 which increased to 17.17 with a value of = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05). Based on the results of the t test, it was concluded that there was an effect of nurse education on patient behavior regarding the accuracy of hand hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Manado Adventist Hospital.Keywords: COVID-19; hand hygiene;education;behavior;

Abstract

Malaria remains a global issue. Indonesia ranks second in the highest number of cases in Asia. Malaria risk factors include host characteristics (age, gender, education), behavior (habit of going out at night, habit of working at night, habit of sleeping outside at night) and environmental factors (mosquito netting, bed net use, insect repellent use). This study aims to analyze the risk factors for malaria in Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua. This research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study conducted on Desember 2023. The sampling technique involved 320 respondents using cluster sampling and purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using univariate, bivariate (chi-square and T test), and multivariate (multiple logistic regression) analysis with SPSS. Out of 320 respondents, 117 (36.6%) tested positive for malaria and 203 (63.4%) tested negative. There were associations between gender (p=0.005), education (p=0.023), nighttime outdoor habits (p=0.025), nighttime work habits (p=0.000), sleeping outdoors (p=0.023), mosquito netting installation (p=0.012), bed net use (p=0.000), and insect repellent use (p=0.014) with malaria incidence. Age was not associated (p=0.302). The dominant factor was nighttime work habits (p=0.000; OR=13.898; 95% CI=6.447-29.959). Gender and education were significantly associated with malaria incidence, while age was not. Nighttime outdoor habits, nighttime work habits, and sleeping outdoors, as well as environmental factors were also significantly associated with malaria incidence in Mimika Baru
