Abstract

The adsorption refrigeration system is a cooling system that offers several benefits, including being environmentally friendly due to the very small amount of global warming effect given, the lack of potential for ozone depletion, the low energy consumption of its operation, the low heat source used in its operation and good for reducing gas emissions on earth. This paper describes a combined reheating adsorption refrigeration system with three heat exchangers, as well as operating modes. The operation of the adsorption refrigeration system with combined reheating is schematically described with operational modes and diagrams. This adsorption cooling system is made up of three heat exchangers (H), one evaporator, and one condenser. The combination cycle is intended for heat exchanger systems that operate in a reheat cycle (H1 and H2) and a non-reheating cycle (H3). This paper also discusses system cycle time optimization. Research to get the optimum value of cycle time in this system is still rarely done and therefore optimization of cycle time is carried out on the system to get the best performance. The PSO (particle swarm optimization) program is paired with the MATLAB program to simulate the performance of the system under discussion while also enhancing its performance. The goal of this work is to use simulation to determine the optimal system performance versus the overall cycle time, which includes adsorption/desorption time, pre-cooling and pre-heating time as well as mass recovery time. Getting the best value for the entire cycle time is made possible by fusing the simulation of the system's process performance with performance optimization. As a results, the greatest increase in the optimization results' performance value occurs at a heat source temperature of 55ºC with a longer time to achieve optimal performance.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of the times is marked by the rapid advancement of science and technology. These developments provide many conveniences for humans but on the other hand also bring negative impacts on the lives and younger generation of Hindus. Seeing such conditions, it is considered necessary to instill ethical teachings in the younger generation from an early age, starting with children. One of the negative impacts is the behavior of young people, such as a decline in morals and ethics due to adopting behaviors or habits from outside that do not align with cultural personality. Additionally, it can reduce interaction intensity because everything practical is done from home, thus erasing our character as Balinese people. who prioritize togetherness. Most Balinese people, who are predominantly Hindu, generally have several distinctive characteristics in their lives: they are highly religious and spiritual, always together or cooperative, friendly, polite and avoid conflict, creative and artistic, flexible, and strongly uphold traditions. Some values that need to be instilled in children from an early age are meant to be applied in their daily lives, such as: tri kaya parisudha, tat twam asi, the teachings of ahimsa, and the concept of karma phala. It is hoped that children will not only understand these teachings but also make them the foundation of Hindu personality in the future amidst modern times. Some ways to instill these teachings include: telling stories of goodness or, traditionally, doing it through Bali fairy tales/fables, then providing examples at home by parents and at school by teachers, and lastly instilling good habits or discipline in children.

Abstract

Cultural heritage has increasingly been recognized as a strategic asset for sustainable tourism development because it not only preserves cultural identity but also contributes to local economic development. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework that explains the relationship between cultural heritage, heritage-based tourism activities, visitor experiences, tourism income generation, and heritage conservation, using Pura Desa Sukawati in Bali as a contextual illustration. The study employed a qualitative conceptual research design using an integrative literature review. Relevant literature published between 2020 and 2025 was critically synthesized through conceptual content analysis by integrating Heritage Tourism Theory, Community-Based Tourism, the Tourism Multiplier Effect, the Experience Economy, and Sustainable Tourism. The analysis proposes an integrated conceptual framework demonstrating that cultural heritage functions as the foundation of heritage-based tourism activities, which create meaningful visitor experiences and stimulate tourism expenditure. These expenditures generate direct, indirect, and induced economic benefits that enhance community welfare while providing financial support for heritage conservation and long-term destination sustainability. The proposed framework contributes to the heritage tourism literature by integrating cultural, economic, and conservation perspectives into a single analytical model. Practically, the framework provides strategic insights for policymakers, heritage managers, and local communities in designing tourism policies that balance economic development with the preservation of cultural authenticity and sacred heritage values. Future empirical studies are recommended to validate the proposed framework in various cultural heritage destinations.
