Abstract

The research was aimed to know production potency of five New Superior Varieties of Rice Plant (Oryza sativa) of Stock Seed that was grown in Banjar District Pandeglang Regency of Banten Province. Research was conducted in the village of Kadu Bale, Banjar District Pandeglang Regency in May until August 2011. The research used a Randomized Completely Block Design with five new superior varieties as factor that consisted of five levels with five replications. Parameter observed were: 1) the percentage of replace with new rice seedling, 2) the number of maximum tillers, 3) the percentage of non productive tiller, 4) age of panicle appear, 5) number of panicle, 6) the percentage of green panicle more than 80 % , 7) number of grain each longest panicle, 8) percentage of empty grain each panicle, 9) weight of 100 full grain, 10) ratio of long and weight full grain, 11) production of dry harvest grain , and 12) productivity of dry harvest grain per hectare. The result showed that qualitative observed of the six varieties still suitable with the their description. The quantitative observed was influenced by physical condition naturally and cultivation. For positive effect were showed by the parameter observed : 1) the percentage of replace with new rice seedling, 2) the number of maximum tillers, 3) number of panicle, 4) weight of 100 full grain, but for negative effect were showed by the parameter observed: 1) the percentage of green panicle, more than 80 % , 2) number of grain each longest panicle, 3) percentage of empty grain each panicle, and 4) production of dry harvest grain. For cultivation action gave the best physiology effect only to Ciherang. The percentage of green panicle more than 80 % was 6,39 % fewer than another varieties (inpari 1, Inpari 7, Inpari 8, and Inpari 13).Key words: rice, stock seed, new superior varieties, potential production.

Abstract

Kelompok tani merupakan salah satu sistem kelembagaan yang berada di wilayah pedesaan, berfungsi mengorganisir para petani atas dasar kesamaan kepentingan, kesamaan kondisi lingkungan sosial, ekonomi dan sumberdaya. Kelembagaan kelompok tani memiliki peranan penting dalam pembangunan pertanian. Persepsi kelompok tani memiliki afiliasi dengan tingkat partisipasi petani dalam kelompok tani, apabila persepsi petani terhadap kelompok baik maka diharapkan partisipasi meningkat dan begitu juga sebaliknya. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis statitistik deskriptif dan korelasional. Hasil Penelitian menujukkan pendidikan non formal, pengalaman berorganisasi dan motavasi diri cukup baik. Faktor eksternal dorongan pemerintah dan swasta jumlah kunjungan penyuluhan, pemilihan media dan intensitas stimuli juga cukup baik. Persepsi anggota tentang urgensi kelompok tani sebagai wadah untuk mendapatkan program, peningkatan kapasitas petani dan sebagai sarana belajar petani. Tingkat partisipasi keterlibatan perencanaan (71,58), pelaksanaan (63,16%) dan evaluasi kegiatan (66,3%). Partisipasi (Y2) melalui Persepsi anggota tentang urgensi kelompok tani (Y1) hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh tidak signifikan. Faktor Internal (X1) terhadap tingkat partisipasi (Y2) melalui Persepsi Anggota tentang urgensi kelompok tani (Y1) memiliki p-value lebih dari 0.05.

Abstract

Tingginya pemakaian pupuk sintetik dan rendahnya kualitas benih adalah faktor penyebab produksi dan productivitas nasional bawang merah (Allium cepa L. var. Aggregtum group) berfluktuasi. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh pemberian berbagai dosis pupuk kandang kambing dan pemotongan bibit umbi bawang merah terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah perlu dilakukan. Rancangan penelitian yang diginakan yaitu rancangan petak terbagi (Split Plot). Petak utama yaitu dosis pupuk kandang kambing 0, 10, 15, 20, dan 25 kg•ha-1, sedangkan anak petak terdiri dari bibit umbi yang dipotong dan tidak potong. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada interaksi antara dosis pupuk kandang kambing dan pemotongan umbi terhadap seluruh parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Perlakuan pemotongan umbi menunjukkan waktu bertunas lebih cepat (2,16 hst), meningkatkan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada usia 2 dan 3 mst, meningkatkan jumlah umbi tiap tanaman (7,24 umbi), meningkatkan bobot segar umbi tiap tanaman (21,56 g), dan meningkatkan bobot kering umbi per tanaman (17,30 g). Perlakuan variasi dosis pupuk kandang kambing menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh pada parameter pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Mempertimbangkan pengelolaan tanaman berkelanjutan, meskipun penggunaan pupuk kandang kambing belum dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah dalam percobaan ini, hal ini berpotensi memperbaiki tanah dalam penerapan jangka panjang. Abstract

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology into hydroponic farming systems presents a transformative opportunity to modernize agriculture and attract the younger generation to the sector. This study explores the effectiveness of IoT applications in hydroponic cultivation to foster a new wave of tech-savvy, innovative young farmers. Hydroponics, a soil-less farming method that utilizes nutrient-rich water, offers various advantages such as efficient water use, controlled environments, and suitability for limited land spaces. When combined with IoT—through the use of sensors, automation, and real-time monitoring—hydroponic systems become more efficient, sustainable, and appealing to youth interested in modern agriculture. The research outlines the types of hydroponic systems and their integration with IoT, highlights the benefits and challenges of such implementation, and emphasizes the pivotal role of government in supporting young farmers through education, infrastructure, financing, and policy. Key challenges identified include high initial costs, limited internet infrastructure, and lack of technological literacy among farmers. Despite these barriers, the adoption of IoT has the potential to increase productivity, reduce manual labor, and elevate the status of farming as a profitable and high-tech career path for young people. The study concludes that a strong collaboration between government, educational institutions, and the private sector is crucial to empower the next generation of innovative farmers and ensure the sustainability of the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Lettuce is a vegetable plant originating from West Asia. Lettuce plants in Indonesia can be panted from the owlands to the highlands by considering selecting varieties. The high demind of Lettuce is not followed by an increase in production, low lettuce production is due to poor soil fertility and low levels of nutients in the soil due to excessive use of inorganic fertilizers and not paying attention to dosage. The use of organic fertilizer can increase soil fertility which is damaged by the use of inorganic fertilizer. The research was aimed to know effect of application the concentrstion of banana peel liquid based organic fertilizer and chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of lettuce. The research was conducated in Sukajadi Barat Rt/Rw 001/005, Sukajadi Villager, Cibaliunh district, Pandeglang city, Banten. The method used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) Concentration Banana peel liquid; 15%, 25%, and 35%. Dose chicken manure fertilizer; 71 g/polybag, 106 g/polybag, 141 g/polybag. The result research showed giving banana peel liquid influential real against all parameters except plant fresh weight. The giving chicken manure fertilizer influential real against all parameters except plant fresh weight. The conclusion of this research is the giving banana peel liquid at a concentration 25% gives the best results and chicken manure fertilizer at a dose 106 g/polybag gives the best results.
