Abstract

The purpose of this community service in empowering institutional strengthening in the development of Tangkas Lake tourism, Tanjung Continue Village, Sakernan District, Muaro Jambi Regency is to improve the community's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Economic improvement is carried out by optimizing the potential of tourism objects through village-owned enterprises (BUMDes). BUMDes in this area are still very young and most of their activities have not been running and developing as they should. Only a small part of the potential of BUMDes in this area is managed and optimized. Community participation involved in BUMDes is still low and has not prioritized transparency. In the future, it is hoped that villagers will foster a sense of belonging and take an active role in the tourism village development process. That’s why institutional strengthening empowerment by optimizing BUMDes is important to be carried out.

Abstract

One of the objectives of community services in Tanjung Lanjut Village, Muaro Jambi Regency is to assist Tanjung Lanjut Village in the utilization of organic waste through optimizing household waste towards a sustainable tourism village. The number of tourists who visited Tangkas Lake made Tangkas Lake had a lot of garbage which is mostly brought by visitors. In addition, the density of visitors and various activities, both government and village institutions’ activities, had made the village to continue to produce organic and non-organic waste. Therefore, there is a need for empowerment and assistance to the Tangkas Lake community so that waste will not become a problem but a blessing by managing useful waste. Organic waste management by fermentation can be one solution to implement a clean and comfortable environment for the development of Tangkas Lake agrotourism as well as a sustainable tourism village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors affecting the export volume of Indonesian footwear products in eight export destination countries during the 2017-2020 period. The independent variables used in the study were Export Price, Real Gdp of Export Destination Countries, Population of Export Destination Countries, Exchange Rates, and Export Growth of Tiongkok Footwear. In contrast, the dependent variables were the export volume of Indonesian footwear. The study used multiple linear regression analysis with panel data. Based on the study's results, the variable export price negatively and significantly affects the volume of Indonesian footwear exports. In contrast, the variable real GDP and growth of Tiongkok footwear exports positively and significantly influence the volume of Indonesian footwear export exports. In contrast, the variable population of the destination country of footwear exports and exchange rates does not significantly affect the volume of Indonesian footwear exports in Indonesia's eight export destination countries.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the relationship between competitiveness in basic sectors and economic development inequality on economic growth in Jambi Province. The method used in this research is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive method using secondary data during the 2000-2021 period. Data analysis in this study used the RCA method and Granger causality. The research results show that the industrial sector and mining sector have a causal relationship with economic growth in Jambi Province, while other sectors do not.
