Abstract

Pelatihan Autodesk Moldflow Plastic Insight dilaksanakan sebagai upaya peningkatan kompetensi dosen dan instruktor Politeknik ATMI Surakarta terkait dengan desain dan proses injection molding. Program pelatihan dirancang dalam durasi 40 jam tatap muka intensif dimana pembimbing dan peserta berinteraksi langsung dalam pemecahan contoh-contoh masalah. Materi pelatihan ini merupakan kompetensi yang diajarkan kepada mahasiswa Politeknik ATMI Surakarta. Materi pelatihan meliputi teori tentang proses injection molding, interface dan fungsi software, simulasi dasar dan simulasi advance, runner balance, serat design of experiment. Pada pelatihan ini, dosen dan intsruktor memiliki pemahaman dan ketrampilan yang standard dalam memecahkan kasus desain dan optimasi proses injection molding. Kemampuan simulasi moldflow bermanfaat untuk penetapan dimensi rancangan dan paramater proses produksi yang optimal untuk plastic molding. Melalui kemampuan simulasi, optimasi proses dapat dicapai dan penurunan tingkat kesalahan pada tahap pengembangan produk dapat dilakukan, dengan imbas positip berupa reduksi biaya.

Abstract

Rowo Jombor, apart from being used to irrigate rice field, also has potential as a tourist spot and fish farming. Currently, Rowo Jombor fish farmers are experiencing problems of lack of oxygen content and acidity of the water are the bottom of the swamp due to weather changes. The purposes of the service activity is to provide solutions to the problems faced by tilapia farmers in Rowo Jombor by using the water spraying method to reduce the mortality rate of tilapia in the hope of increasing crop yields. The water used for spraying is taken from bore wells at the bottom of swamp. The results of service activities with the method of spraying water in cages have been proven to reduce tilapia morality from a mortality rate 50-70% to less than 5%. After the process of spraying water in tilapia rearing cages, farmers get additional profit because the mortality rate of fish decreases.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program has a targeted community of Cekel artisans of taro chips and banana chips. The partners involved are banana chip business actors (Cakrawala All-Business Cooperative) and taro chips business (Zahra) in Cekel, Jetis Saptosari Gunung Kidul. The problems found in partners are slicing fried foods for too long and not optimal, banana mixes are not safe, knowledge of product variations is limited. The solution that can be done is product management counseling that will ensure the quality of handling banana chips and taro chips products. The provision of production equipment assistance will facilitate and speed up work so as to increase productivity. Taro stripping using a double blade, plowing using a chopper machine, slicing using a spinner. Production increased, sales increased. Increased production and sales will improve well-being. Increased insight and additional knowledge of diversification of processed banana, cassava, and peanut products. There is a transfer of technological innovations so as to increase the pace of production, product quality and work safety. There is an increase in the production rate occurring in the slicing process which originally took 30 minutes to 2 to 3 minutes. The improvement of product quality occurs by draining the oil of natural slicing residue using a spinner. Work safety is improved by avoiding oil splashes on the hands during banana plowing

Abstract

The Lohjinawi Garbage Bank is a waste management institution in Indonesia that aims to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. The Lohjinawi Garbage Bank has been operating for several years, but still needs the strengthening of its management capacity. One way to strengthen the management capacity of the Lohjinawi Garbage Bank is through training and making paving blocks from plastic waste. Training will be conducted for the management and members of the Lohjinawi Garbage Bank in terms of sorting and processing plastic waste into raw materials for paving blocks. This training will provide an understanding of techniques and processes for processing plastic waste, as well as techniques for making quality paving blocks. In addition, the training will also provide an understanding of the marketing and management of the paving block business. After the training, paving blocks were made from processed plastic waste. The resulting paving blocks will be used to build parking areas and roads around the Lohjinawi Garbage Bank environment. Apart from that, paving blocks can also be sold to increase the income of the Lohjinawi Garbage Bank. With training and making paving blocks from plastic waste, it is hoped that the Lohjinawi Garbage Bank can strengthen its management capacity and increase its business income. In addition, using paving blocks made from plastic waste can also reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and reduce the use of conventional building materials that are not environmentally friendly

Abstract

 SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Turi in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, received photovoltaic system assistance from a government grant. Photovoltaic is a technology that converts solar energy into electrical energy. This equipment is used as a backup when the power is off. However, the partners did not understand how to maintain the photovoltaic system. The proposed solution was to conduct training on photovoltaic system maintenance. This activity aimed to provide knowledge for those in charge of operations on photovoltaic system maintenance methods. The applied method was tutorial/training and practice. The presented materials were photovoltaic technology, installation, and maintenance. The evaluation was to compare test results before and after training. The evaluation showed that this training increased participants' knowledge about photovoltaic systems by 25.29%. This training can be further developed in a community environment by adding photovoltaic installations in the vicinity. Communities should be able to carry out maintenance independently so that the performance of the photovoltaic system and the durability of its components are optimal.

Abstract

Due to the dry season in recent years longer than the dry season in previous years and the increase in population and the need for clean water use, especially in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, there has been a decrease in groundwater levels which has resulted in residents having difficulty getting groundwater. On the other hand, people do not have a culture of using rainwater to meet their daily water needs. This community service program is carried out in order to help the movement to harvest rainwater, especially in the RT 02 RW 01 area of Patangpuluhan Village, Wirobrajan District. The program is carried out by harvesting rainwater to be injected into existing wells, harvesting rainwater to be stored in reservoirs and harvesting rainwater to be injected in existing infiltration wells. The output of this community service program is in the form of an integrated system of gutters for water catchers, filters and pipelines for injection into wells, an integrated system of gutters for water catchers, filters and direct pipelines to water reservoirs and an integrated system of gutters, filters and injection pipelines into existing infiltration wells.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memfasilitasi pelaksanaan program pelatihan sistem manajemen nilai dalam lembaga pendidikan. Program pelatihan ini memanfaatkan Microsoft Excel, khususnya melalui pemanfaatan Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Proses pengembangan sistem meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, perumusan desain sistem, implementasi VBA di Microsoft Excel, serta tahap pengujian dan evaluasi sistem selanjutnya. Selain itu, diadakan pula pelatihan bagi operator SDN 1 Kembangsari untuk memberikan pengarahan tentang pemanfaatan sistem tersebut. Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan Microsoft Excel berbasis VBA menawarkan pendekatan yang cepat untuk mengelola nilai siswa secara efektif. Sistem manajemen nilai yang diimplementasikan memfasilitasi otomatisasi tugas pemrosesan data, seperti memasukkan nilai, menghitung rata-rata, dan menghasilkan laporan nilai yang komprehensif. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terkait microsoft excel dan VBA sebesar 73,3%. Penerapan sistem pengelolaan nilai berbasis Microsoft Excel dengan memanfaatkan VBA diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi, dan kecepatan pengolahan data nilai siswa. Selain itu, kemampuan untuk menyesuaikan sistem untuk memenuhi persyaratan khusus dari masing-masing lembaga pendidikan. This service aims to facilitate the implementation of value management system training programs in educational institutions. This training program utilizes Microsoft Excel, specifically through Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The system development process includes identifying partner needs, formulating a system design, implementing VBA in Microsoft Excel, and the next stage of system testing and evaluation. Apart from that, training was also held for SDN 1 Kembangsari operators to guide the use of the system. This service shows that utilizing VBA-based Microsoft Excel offers a fast approach to managing student grades effectively. The implemented grade management system facilitates automating data processing tasks, such as entering grades, calculating averages, and generating comprehensive grade reports. The training results show an increase in understanding regarding Microsoft Excel and VBA by 73.3%. Implementing a Microsoft Excel-based grade management system using VBA is expected to increase the efficiency and speed of processing student grade data additionally, the ability to customize the system to meet the specific requirements of each educational institution.
