Abstract

This article aims to elucidate the principles of parental exemplarity as an educational model from the perspective of Islamic education. The presence of parents as primary educators and central figures within the household holds significant importance. However, a fundamental challenge that arises is the lack of understanding among some parents regarding their role and responsibility as role models, which can inadvertently lead children to emulate undesirable behaviors. This research employs the "Library Research" method with a qualitative interpretative approach to analyze various documents, including books and journals. From the analysis, it is concluded that the concept of parental exemplarity in Islamic education can be implemented through several steps, including: 1) Instilling exemplar habits in behavior; 2) Consistently providing advice to children; and 3) Cultivating exemplarity habits from an early age, such as expectant mothers habituating positive practices. This article provides a profound understanding of how parents can effectively serve as models in educating their children in accordance with the principles of Islamic education

Abstract

The article scrutinizes the teacher-student respected relationship within the talaqqȋ and ḥalaqa traditions of Salafis Boarding Schools. The purpose of the study is to explore the psychological dimensions of this relationship, specifically recognized in Acehnese society as “Ta'zhim keu Guree” (respect to the teacher) as the main âdâb (virtues) within this bond, focusing on the principle of respect. This study employed a participatory action research methodology, using in-depth interviews and participant observation as the primary research instruments, conducted at the Dayah Nurul Hikam Al-Waliyah in Kota Langsa, Aceh Province. The study found that the teacher-student relationship within the talaqqȋ and ḥalaqa tradition acts as a dynamic channel for fostering emotional well-being and psychological growth among students. The respectful bond emerging from this relationship nurtures well-rounded individuals committed to intellectual and moral growth. Ẩdâb, as an Islamic cornerstone, epitomizes respect, humility, and gratitude, bolstering emotional well-being and ethics. The findings suggest that these traditions can be a valuable model for educational institutions aiming to promote emotional well-being, psychological growth, moral ethics, and alignment with Islamic teachings. Additionally, âdâb is highlighted as a valuable tool for promoting positive social change in communities.

Abstract

The objective of this causal research was to obtain information concerning: (1) the effect of leadership effectiveness toward task commitment; (2) the effect of emotional intelligence toward task commitment; (3) the effect of self-efficacy toward task commitment; (4) the effect of leadership effectiveness toward self-efficacy; and (5) the effect of emotional intelligence toward self-efficacy.  The research was conducted by using a survey method with path analysis ini testing hypothesis. Ini this research, principals of  teachers on Senior High School PKP Jakarta Islamic School has been choosen as a unit analysis and 84 samples of principals were selected in random. The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a direct positive effect of leadership effectiveness toward task commitment; (2) there is a direct positive effect of emotional intelligence toward task commitment; (3) there is a direct positive effect of self-efficacy toward task commitment; (4) there is a direct positive effect of leadership effectiveness toward self-efficacy; and (5) there is a direct positive effect of emotional intelligence toward self-efficacy.      Kata kunci:  efektivitas kepemimpinan, kecerdasan emosional, efikasi-diri, dan komitmen tugas

Abstract

 Nilai pluralisme perlu diterapkan dalam kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam. Kurikulum pendidikan yang bernilai  toleran mengajarkan pemahaman dan upaya untuk bisa hidup dalam lingkungan perbedaan agama dan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan data yang diperoleh dari tiga Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri di Aceh  (IAIN Langsa, IAIN Lhokseumawe, dan STAIN Gajah Putih Takengon)  mengenai implementasi kurikulum pendidikan Islam inklusif yang diterapkan di ketiga institusi tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta telaah dokumen yang terkait dengan kurikulum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan bercorak pluralis dilaksanakan dalam cara; (1) Mengakui keberagaman latar belakang dari tiap-tiap dosen dan mahasiswa dengan keberbedaannya; (2) Mendorong secara spesifik agar tiap-tiap dosen dan mahasiswa untuk saling menghargai; (3) Membuka akses partisipasi pemahaman moderasi bagi mahasiswa. Penerapan kurikulum berbasis inklusif masih cenderung dilaksanakan dalam berntuk hidden curriculum, sementara pelaksanaan kurikulum formal masih terbatas dalam pemberian beberapa mata kuliah. Faktor pendukung pelaksaaan pendidikan inklusif adalah adanya peraturan program yang dicanangkan oleh Kementerian Agama RI sementara faktor penghambat muncul dari kesalah pahaman dan stigma negatif yang muncul dari tengah-tengah masyarakat.
