Abstract

This study aims to influence the provision of work motivation and work discipline on the morale of employees of Bank Riau Kepri Pekanbaru Branch. The variable giving work motivation as a variable (X1), work discipline as a variable (X2) and work enthusiasm as a variable (Y). This research method is descriptive quantitative using SPSS 22 program, where the sample used is 81 employees using saturated sampling technique and data collection techniques using questionnaires. From the results of data analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, determination test, simple linear regression test and multiple linear regression test, t test, f test so that it can be concluded that the provision of work motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on employee morale, work discipline partially positive and significant effect on employee morale, the provision of work motivation and employee work discipline simultaneously significant effect on morale in employees of Bank Riau Kepri Pekanbaru Branch.. Abstract

Abstract: Technological developments have shifted the literacy habits of younger generation from print media to more interactive and visual digital forms. This shift has influenced preferences for literacy spaces that are not only functional but also social and engaging experiences. Consequently, interest in formal libraries often perceived as rigid and inflexible has declined, highlight the need for more responsive to changing behavior and lifestyle. In this context, Yogyakarta, as an educational city with a predominantly young population, has seen the emergence of innovative literacy spaces such as bookstore cafés, literary cafés, and community based spaces, reflecting the dynamic of the development of contemporary literacy space. This study aims to identify the spatial characteristics and typologies of these spaces through a qualitative approach using case studies of eight sites, analyzed descriptively and comparatively to identify common patterns and differences. The findings indicate that literacy spaces have evolved into hybrid environments with two main typological tendencies: integrative, and communal. In terms of spatial characteristics, these spaces are open, flexible, and minimally partitioned with strong visual connections, where hierarchy is shaped by accessibility and visual orientation, positioning reading areas as the central focus. This supports their role as informal third places. Keyword: Contemporary Literacy Space, Spatial Character, Typology, Young Generation, Third Place Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi telah menggeser pola literasi generasi muda dari media cetak menuju literasi digital yang lebih interaktif dan visual. Pergeseran ini mempengaruhi preferensi terhadap ruang literasi yang tidak hanya fungsional, tetapi juga sosial dan memberikan pengalaman ruang yang menyenangkan. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada menurunnya minat terhadap perpustakaan formal yang cenderung kaku dan kurang adaptif, sehingga diperlukan transformasi konsep ruang literasi yang lebih responsif terhadap perubahan gaya hidup. Dalam konteks tersebut, Yogyakarta sebagai kota pendidikan dengan dominasi generasi muda memunculkan berbagai inovasi ruang literasi, seperti bookstore cafe, kafe literasi, dan ruang komunitas yang menunjukkan dinamika perkembangan ruang literasi kontemporer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakter spasial dan tipologi ruang literasi kontemporer di Yogyakarta melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada delapan objek ruang. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif komparatif untuk menemukan pola umum dan perbedaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara tipologi, ruang literasi berkembang sebagai ruang hybrid dengan dua kecenderungan utama, yaitu tipe integratif, dan tipe komunal. Secara karakter spasial, ruang cenderung menerapkan konsep terbuka, fleksibel, dan minim sekat dengan koneksi visual yang kuat, dimana hirarki ruang dibentuk melalui kemudahan akses dan orientasi visual dengan area baca sebagai pusatnya. Pendekatan tersebut mendukung peran ruang sebagai third place yang informal. Kata Kunci: Ruang Literasi Kontemporer, Karakter Spasial, Tipologi, Generasi Muda, Third Place
