Abstract

The school library is an important facility and infrastructure that is presented by a madrasa or school and has a collection of library materials whose information can help the community in the madrasa environment, including teachers, students, staff or guardians of students in obtaining the information needed. The activity of processing library materials is the spearhead in the creation of a library as a central source of reference for information and library materials. This is what underlies the need for a strategy in processing library materials, because library materials are the most important product in the library. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method which was strengthened by literature review, interviews and observations. The strategy for processing library materials at Al-Kindi MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung includes determining the classification number and subject of library materials, library automation, preservation of library materials, and colored labeling.

Abstract

Paper ini bertujuan menganalisis kegiatan pustakawan sebagai liaison dan outreach di perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Madania Parung Bogor. Analisis tersebut dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi sejauh mana kegiatan liaison dan outreach yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan di perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Madania. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pustakawan perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Madania Bogor. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kegiatan pustakawan guru sebagai liaison dan outreach di perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Madania tidak hanya penting untuk pengembangan dan pengelolaan koleksi yang sukses, tetapi kegiatan ini juga mampu memuaskan dan menyenangkan karena menempatkan pustakawan di jantung komunitas melalui program library class dan library tour. Dalam pengembangan dan pengelolaan koleksi, pustakawan guru sukses melibatkan siswa, guru, dan pihak sekolah untuk mengevaluasi koleksi sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kurikulum sekolah berbasis IB. Selain itu, hal yang paling penting adalah pustakawan menjadi jantung dari sekolah karena mampu memberikan informasi yang relavan dan program yang menyenangkan. Pustakawan guru juga mampu mempromosikan perpustakaan kepada pihak ekternal yaitu sekolah di kabupaten Bogor melalui program library tour. Kegiatan pustakawan guru tersebut merupakan kemampuan dan keterampilan sebagai liaison dan outreach yang bertujuan promosi untuk kesuksesan pengembangan koleksi, layanan dan individu pustakawan. Kegiatan pustakawan guru tersebut merupakan kemampuan dan keterampilan sebagai liaison dan outreach yang bertujuan promosi untuk kesuksesan pengembangan koleksi, layanan dan individu pustakawan.

Abstract

The Mobile Library Car (MPK) is one of the breakthrough services provided by the Pangkalpinang City Library and Archives Service in optimizing its role as an informal government institution whose function is to educate the nation's life according to the mandate of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology and provides convenience in this study, researchers used 3 steps in data collection, namely conducting observations, interviews and literature review. The existence of the Pangkalpinang City Library and Archives Service by providing various types of services, one of which is the Mobile Library Car (MPK) as an informal education provider institution in order to fulfill the mandate stated in the 1945 Constitution and the foundation for the formation of the Indonesian State Government, especially in the intellectual life of the nation, because every Citizens have the right to receive education both through formal and informal channels in order to develop their personal potential which aims to increase knowledge, insight and intelligence. This cannot be separated from the role and support of many parties, both the government, educational institutions and the community as stake holders

Abstract

An information system can ease the user in receiving information.  The library needs to use effective and efficient service by using the information system. Processing of library materials is important to do to facilitate the search for information and expedite service activities. This research has a case study at the Bandar Lampung City Library and Archives Service which has used the INLISLite system since 2014. But until now they are still using INLISLite version 3.1. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting field research on the problems that occur, as well as interacting directly with librarians. INLISLite version 3.1 which is used displays several menus such as Back Office, Read on Place, Guest Book, Online Membership, Digital Collection Services, OPAC, Articles, Member Registration, Statistics, Surveys, Self-Returns, and Self Borrowing. The results first result from the study, librarians can process library materials on the Back Office menu. The second is there are no problems in the learnability and efficiency aspects because in this aspect the INLISLite system makes it very easy for librarians, but there are problems in the Memorability, Error, and Satisfaction aspects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap bahwa Islam bukan hanya dipandang sebagai keyakinan atau agama, tetapi juga direpresentasikan dalam pendidikan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi. Objek penelitian pada dua negara yaitu Indonesia dan Malaysia. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan kajian literatur, bersumber dari buku, artikel jurnal, dan situs web yang membahas representasi Islam dalam perkembangan pendidikan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi di Indonesia dan Malaysia. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk representasi dalam kebijakan, kurikulum, dan praktik pengelolaan perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Indonesia, representasi Islam terlihat pada nomenklatur program studi, kurikulum dengan mata kuliah terkait, serta kebijakan strategis seperti pedoman klasifikasi, tajuk subjek, dan standar pengelolaan perpustakaan berbasis Islam. Di Malaysia, representasi tampak pada integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kurikulum, pengembangan perpustakaan masjid sebagai pusat pembelajaran, dan kebijakan universitas yang menekankan kajian literatur Islam. Kedua negara menunjukkan peran penting nilai-nilai Islam dalam membentuk identitas pendidikan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi sekaligus mencerminkan keberagaman budaya (cultural diversity). Implikasi temuan ini diharapkan menjadi rujukan untuk mengidentifikasi peluang dan kekuatan dalam pengembangan pendidikan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi di negara dengan komunitas muslim besar.
