Abstract

This study aims to discuss tithing offerings based on the Bible Malachi 3:6-12 to see its relevance to the church today. The research was conducted at GPKB Region IV, Sadaniang District, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan. The method used is a biblical hermeneutic method to interpret the biblical text and also a survey method with a quantitative approach. The finding in this study is that, tithing offerings are still relevant today because they are based on the unchanging word of God, legalized by God, and have the nature of continuity that remains a legacy for church practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang layanan konseling online dalam kaitannya dengan pelayanan gereja. Tampak bahwa, sistem pelayanan konseling online kini berpengaruh luas dan gereja pun terkena pengaruhnya. Meskipun demikian kenyataan tersebut perlu disikapi dengan baik, agar para konselor Kristen tidak terjebak dan terkendali dalam arena media online yang bebas nilai, tanpa kontrol sosial, moral, dan etis. Penelitian ini menggunaka metode Content Analysis dengan menyelidiki teks-teks yang dirujuk melalui artikel jurnal online. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa layanan konseling online pada satu sisi berdampak baik, tetapi juga berdampak buruk di sisi lainnya. Berkenaan dengan itu, maka para konselor Kristen perlu menyikapinya secara proporsional menurut nilai-nilai etika Kristen, agar penggunaan media online dalam melakukan pelayanan konseling tetap dalam batas yang wajar dan terukur sesuai dengan kebenaran Kristen.

Abstract

The objectives of the Community Service program are: (1) providing a correct understanding of LGBT; (2) factors that influence juvenile delinquency; (3) teenagers are able to maintain holiness their lives; (4) able to understand about transitional times; (5) parents, educators and God 's servants can guide them; (6) have methods in ministry to youth. This is done based on the struggles and problems faced by parents, church and community. The solutions to overcome these problems are as follows; (1) providing regular assistance in anticipating the occurrence of LGBT practices; (2) instilling spiritual values through spiritual guidance; (3) the government 's role in protecting the indicated Indonesian citizens and facilitating their guidance; (4) the government is able to uphold the values and norms of Pancasila based on the 1945 Constitution. The method used in this programme is by; (1) gaining information from the students; (2) pre-field: (3) interview; (4) team preparation; (5) implementation; (6) Evaluation and follow-up. The results found are; (1) knowing about LGBT and changing the level of phases in their lives and daring to say no to LGBT; (2) training youth's faith to continue to be faithful to the Lord Jesus; (3) being able to become blessings in the environment where they are; (4) become Christian youth who are dedicated and have high integrity.

Abstract

Laziness is a lifestyle that no one wants, because it disrupts ethical discourse in the work culture. The aim of this research is to investigate the issue of laziness in relation to the Christian work ethic by referring to the biblical text, namely Proverbs 18:9 which shows a bad precedent for God's decrees for His human creation. The research method used is hermeneutics or biblical interpretation in order to find the meaning of the text for the current context. Related to this, the author uses primary books for exegetical studies, as well as other supporting sources from books and journal articles. The results of this research are that laziness has the potential to be destructive and is contrary to the Christian work ethic which was originally established by God to be passed down from generation to generation in the history of human life. Laziness never brings benefits in any form because its nature is to damage figures that give the image of a lazy character.
