Abstract

Counseling becomes a necessity, because the essence of counseling is the help of an expert counselor given to someone to solve their problems. In providing these services, a counselor is governed by ethics, attitudes and personal qualities for the counselor to behave. Professional ethical values are very important in the helping profession. The code of ethics for counselors is established by the counselor professional institution. For the Indonesian territory, the code of ethics for counselors is determined by the Indonesian Counseling Guidance Association, which is abbreviated as ABKIN. A code of ethics is a guide or guideline for professional behavior or a moral foundation that is practiced, secured and upheld by counselors as members of professional organizations. The aim of this research is to describe the professional ethics of counselors in counseling guidance services in the digital era. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data source comes from collecting documents in the form of books and previous research originating from various references. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that online counseling ethics takes the form of virtual counseling technology, websites, email, video conferences, instant messaging, computers and other social networks. Therefore, online counselors need to be professional in conducting virtual counseling by paying attention to ethics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the importance of counseling services in elementary schools on the development of students. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were elementary school class teachers for small classes 1,2,3 and large classes 4,5,6. The results of the study indicate that: (1) it is felt that it is very important and needed Guidance and counseling services to be applied to primary school education, which are played by BK teachers directly to help students carry out their development tasks, help solve problems/obstacles experienced so that students can grow as individuals with all their needs, can actualize themselves, develop their talents, interests and all their potential (2) As classroom teachers, they still have a role as guidance and counseling teachers and need to continue to improve their knowledge and skills. The skills in assisting and recognizing the characteristics of the needs of each student in the class. (3) It was found that there are many problems or obstacles that arise and are experienced by students in elementary schools, so collaboration and synergy from both the school, class teachers, BK teachers and parents are needed to assist, guide students in completing developmental tasks well.
