Abstract

Linguistic landscape is one area of ​​sociolinguistics that examines specifically the phenomenon of language use in public spaces, be it monolingual, bilingual or multilingual. Islamic boarding schools as geographically exclusive Islamic educational institutions have a linguistic landscape phenomenon that is characterized and based on Arabic. This is in line with the Islamic orientation built in pesantren education. This study aims to explore the use of Arabic in the public space of Islamic boarding schools and its contribution to the development of Arabic language skills and Islamic knowledge of students. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis. In this study, data collection used the observing method and the documentation method. The listening method is used to collect data in the form of writing while the documentation method is used to collect data in the form of pictures taken by cell phone. All data is processed and given a code and then selected based on who produced the text. The results of this study are: (1) The linguistic landscape of Arabic in the pesantren environment is categorized into 3 categories: verses of the Qur'an, Matan Hadith Nabawi, and Maqolah of Ulama. (2) The linguistic landscape of Arabic is part of the pesantren learning process indirectly, especially in supporting classroom learning so that it is internalized in life. (3) The linguistic landscape of Arabic has significance in developing the Arabic language skills and Islamic knowledge of the students in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah alat yang digunakan oleh pendidik untuk menyampaikan materi. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, media pembelajaran hadir dalam berbagai bentuk, salah satunya adalah podcast. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah  memaparkan proses penggunaan podcast Spotify sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi pustaka. Data penelitian ini diambil dari beberapa buku, jurnal, dan prosiding yang membahas topik serupa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah langkah-langkah pemanfaatan podcast Spotify sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Adapun langkah-langkah yang dapat dilakukan oleh pendidik yaitu: (1) Mengawali pembelajaran dengan mengadakan pretes untuk menguji kemampuan analisis peserta didik; (2) Mendengarkan materi melalui podcast Spotify yang telah dipersiapkan; (3)  Postes dapat diberikan usai peserta didik mendengarkan podcast. Postes ini berguna menguji pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik setelah mendengarkan materi di dalam Spotify. Penggunaan podcast sebagai media pembelajaran dapat melatih kemampuan menyimak peserta didik.

Abstract

This research started from the lack of variety of learning media in teaching and learning activities so it is necessary to develop a product in the form of comics as a learning medium. In the KD legend material. 311 and 4.11. The formulation of the problems contained in this study are: (1) How is the process of developing comic media for legend text speaking skills in seventh grade students of MTs Abu Amr. (This study aims to determine the process of developing comics media for legend text speaking skills in seventh grade students of MTs Abu Amr and the effectiveness of developing comic media for legend text speaking skills in seventh grade students of MTs Abu Amr. The research method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model which includes 5 steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The results of the validation of 4 experts, namely 1 material expert, got an average score of 90% in the "Very Eligible" category, RPP experts got an average score of 95% in the "Very Eligible" category. Linguists get an average score of 93% in the "Very Eligible" category and Linguists get an average score of 95% in the "Very Eligible" category. Educator Response I got a score of 86% in the very decent category, educator II got a score of 84% in the very good category. The results of the speaking assessment test (retelling the contents of the legend) using comic media, students in the small group trial in class VII A got a score of 87% in the very good category, for the large group trial in class VII A got a score of 97% in the very good category.
