Abstract

Communication in leadership is something that is very important and fundamental because communication is a means for leaders to convey ideas for progress and success. This article examines how liberating and transformative communication should be for Christian leadership. Christian leadership upholds Christian values according to what is written in the Bible. The method used in this article is a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach. This approach is used to explore and describe the nature of communication and the nature of Christian leadership. From this, a conclusion will be drawn on how the nature of communication in Christian leadership is transformative and liberating. A Christian leader must have good communication skills because it is related to his duty to influence, guide, direct, encourage members to carry out certain activities in order to achieve the goals that have been set and achieve effectiveness in leadership, planning, controlling, and coordination. The results of the study indicate that there are three important things in the communication of a transformative and liberating Christian leader, namely humanistic communication, good-relationship communication and communication that does not self-glorify. The conclusion of the study is that Christian leader communication should bring motivation, not intimidation. It is this motivation that moves everyone to work so that the common goals that have been set can be achieved.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the theoretical approach and the suboptimal internalization of Christian values, which affects students' academic achievement. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of Christian learning management and classroom management, both partially and simultaneously, on students' academic achievement. The research uses a quantitative associative approach with proportionate stratified random sampling, involving 253 students from four study programs at the Faculty of Christian Education Science, IAKN Manado. The instrument used is a Likert-scale questionnaire tested for validity (r count > 0.294) and reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.913 and 0.858), along with data from GPA. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 25 after passing classical assumption tests. The results show that both Christian learning management (t=14.885; p<0.001) and classroom management (t=14.990; p<0.001) significantly influence academic achievement, with both variables contributing 63.8% (F=219.851; R²=0.638) to the students' academic performance. These findings highlight the importance of effective management in both learning and classroom settings. The practical implication is the need for faculty to enhance their ability to manage learning and classrooms holistically. Future studies should explore additional variables that influence academic achievement and use a longitudinal design.

Abstract

This article is motivated by the emergence of negative narratives on technological developments, including artificial intelligence technology. Artificial intelligence technology is often associated as a threat that will threaten the existence of human life. This mindset is certainly wrong and naive, because technology exists to facilitate human performance. This paper wants to explore fundamentally about the origins of artificial intelligence technology and how it is used for the practice of learning Christian religious education both in schools and in churches in the context of developing spirituality by using a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature. One of the goals to be achieved from this article is how artificial intelligence technology can be integrated as a learning medium to form student knowledge as a whole and integral. The final result of this article is expected to give awareness to teachers and Christian clergy that artificial intelligence technology is not a threat so that technology needs to be interpreted proportionally. The success of Christian religious education to shape spirituality that is practiced in schools and churches requires the involvement of teachers as educators, students and the use of technology, because human are integrated to the digital world
