The sample in this study was 35 pregnant women using total sampling. Data analysis was done univariately, bivariate, using the Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that there was a relationship between age and the choice of place of delivery in the Siak Hulu 2 Working Area, with a P-Value of 0.03, there was a relationship between parity and the choice of place of delivery with a value P-Value 0.01, and there is a relationship between distance and choice of area of delivery with a P-Value of 0.001. This study concludes that all factors related to the will of the place of delivery in third-trimester pregnant women have a relationship. Suggestions are expected for health workers to be able to provide more information to pregnant women that it is essential to give birth at a health facility.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) contains nutrients according to the baby's needs for growth, immunity, preventing various diseases and for the baby's intelligence. Banana flower is one of the plants containing lactagogum which can stimulate the hormones oxytocin and prolactin. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Consumption of Batu Banana Flower (Musa Balbiana Colla) on Breast Milk Production in Postpartum Mothers in the Siak Hulu 2. Health Center Work Area. The research design was pre-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sampling technique used Accidental sampling with a population of postpartum mothers with a sample size of 16 respondents. Breast milk production before consuming boiled banana flower from 16 respondents was (68.0%) sufficient breast milk production, (25.0%) insufficient breast milk production and (6.3%) high breast milk production. Breast milk production after consuming boiled banana flower was (93.8%) high breast milk production and (6.3%) low breast milk production. There is an effect of Banana Heart Consumption (Musa Balbisiana Colla) on Breast Milk Production in Postpartum Mothers with a p-value = 0.000. It is recommended that by giving banana heart consumption and explaining the benefits of banana heart for breast milk production, postpartum mothers can consume banana heart while breastfeeding as an effort to increase breast milk production to support exclusive breastfeeding and it is expected to be used as one of the materials for conducting counseling on foods that can facilitate breast milk to support exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

In Indonesia, diarrheal disease is one of the causes of death in infants. Diarrhea is one of the most common diseases affecting children worldwide. The aim of the study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers at RT007 RW008 Airdinding Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru in 2024. This research method used an analytical survey approach with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all babies who visited the Simpang Tiga Health Center as many as 126 toddlers. Sampling was carried out by Probability Sampling with a total of 95 samples. Primary data collection using a questionnaire. Univariate analysis described the frequency distribution of each variable while bivariate analysis used the Chi-Square test. The results of univariate analysis showed a history of non-exclusive breastfeeding 51.6%, 65.3% less knowledge of mothers, 57.9% personal hygiene and 67.4% history of diarrhea and the results of bivariate analysis showed that there were three variables of history of exclusive breastfeeding with p value = 0.0016, mother's knowledge p = 0.000 and maternal personal hygiene with p = 0.000 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is suggested that health workers at the Simpang Tiga Health Center provide promotions that should be focused on eliminating various inaccurate assumptions about diarrhea. Diarrhea prevention promotion materials should include the influence of the environment and breastfeeding on the occurrence of diarrhea with the process of activities being carried out in an integrated manner with the planning of other programs.
