Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning using google classroom during the Covid-19 epidemic in Hinduism. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that focuses on evaluating online learning using google classroom. The population of this study were all students of SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar who were taught Hinduism online using google classroom. The sample of this research was the students of class XII AP1 of SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar which were selected by random sampling technique by considering the homogeneity of the population. Instruments in data collection using online learning questionnaires. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that students rated Hinduism learning online using google classroom as much as 23.30%, most students rated it as effective as 46.70%, and students rated it as normal as much as 20.00%. Although there are also students who rate online/online learning using Google Calssroom as less effective as much as 10.00%, and also absolutely no 0.00% who rate it as very ineffective. To be able to improve the quality of online Hindu religious learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, educators are required to fulfill ten suggestions from students, namely (1) a more concise description of learning materials; (2) The selection of material in the video must be based on the criteria of language that is easy to understand; (3) Minimizing the delivery of heavy video material to save quota; (4) Learning is done through video calls; (5) Giving various and different questions for each student; (6) Continue to provide material before the assignment; (7) The assignment must include the working method; (8) Remind students if there is an assignment given; (9) Giving assignments according to the lesson schedule; and (10) Reduce tasks.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state. Learning is part of the element that has a very dominant role to realize the quality of both the process and the education graduates (outputs). Learning also has an influence that causes the quality of education to be low. This means that learning is very dependent on the ability of teachers to implement or package the learning process. Learning that is carried out properly and appropriately will make a very dominant contribution to students, otherwise learning that is carried out in a bad way will make it difficult for the potential of students to be developed or empowered. Based on this background, a class action research was conducted which aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of class XII AP1 students at SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar by utilizing the Google Classroom application as one of the learning strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic in the historical material on the development of Hindu religious culture. in Asia. This research is a classroom action research which was carried out for two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning (planning), action (action), observation (observation), and reflection (reflection). The learning strategy used is by utilizing the Google Classroom application. The advantage of this application is that it can make it easier for teachers to manage learning and convey information precisely and accurately to students. Based on the results of the discussion and analysis during the research, the results have shown that learning strategies by utilizing technology in the form of the Google Classroom application during the Covid-19 pandemic can improve student learning outcomes in the historical material of the development of Hindu religious culture in Asia class XII AP1 SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar. as evidenced by the test results at the end of the first cycle there were 6 students with a percentage of completeness of 18% and an increase in the percentage of completeness in the second cycle of 94% of 31 students. Based on these results, it can be stated that the target percentage of students' completeness has exceeded the minimum limit value.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a critical analysis related to innovative learning methods that can be applied in learning Hindu Religious Education. Hindu Religious Education is a subject that must be given to Hindu students at all levels wherever they are which has been regulated in the constitution. The role of the Hindu Religious Education teacher is necessary in order to convey a complete understanding of Hindu Religious Education to students, and teachers need learning methods in the process. The dasa dharma learning method, with four new methods namely dharma carita, dharma lila, dharma kriya and dharma brata can be an innovation made by teachers in learning. This research is a qualitative research with a literature study approach, meaning that the data obtained are secondary sources from articles, journals or books which are then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are that the application of the dasa dharma method will greatly assist teachers in inculcating Hindu Religious Education material which generally consists of tattwa, susila, dan upacara. The dharma carita method can be used in providing material related to the cultivation of ethics/susila such as itihasa/purana stories. Meanwhile, with the dharma lila method, material related to tattwa can be provided, such as an understanding of the panca sradhas with the game of snakes and ladders of belief. The dharma kriya method can be used in materials related to upacara such as training in making ceremonial tools, then the dharma brata method to practice self-control and grow spiritual intelligence in students
