Abstract

Utilization of local raw materials available in the market can be the basis for the development of entrepreneurship training activities at the Gembor Farmer Group in the Benpasi area. In the implementation of this activity, it is done by looking for several people who are members of farmer groups or communities in the area to join in developing these activities. This is done to provide knowledge to the community to take advantage of the existing potential so that the resulting product can be sold at a reasonable price at the consumer level and provide hope for an increase in demand for a product. One form of this entrepreneurship is by training to make some processed products or market snacks such as several kinds of cakes which can later be used for the sales process to consumers. This will have an effect on increasing the community's income if the price is sold in accordance with the costs incurred. This training program is carried out by providing a positive influence on knowledge for the community so that in the future they can also play a role in developing these activities.

Abstract

The concept of rural development is essentially based on communication and participation to achieve a consensus. Rural development is based on rural communities who are willing to be empowered through the order of social capital values. Noeltoko Village is known as a village which has local values and historical values that are maintained in TTU Regency. However, with the development of the times, the social activities that have become traditions and cultures have slowly begun to fade. The problem faced by the people of Noeltoko Village is the decline in social capital including social trusts, social norms, and social networks, which are decreasing caused by the decline in participatory communication traditions. Convergent or centralized communication as the basis of research aimed to improve the tradition of participatory communication into social capital from the empowerment of the people of Noeltoko Village. This research was expected to generate a participatory communication model through the convergence of communication that is able to influence social capital in Noeltoko Village. The research was designed into mix methods research. The purposive technique was used in determining the location. The determination of population and samples using the rule of thumb technique where a sample of less than 1,000 is required to sample a minimum of 30% of the total population, namely 42 samples obtained by 30% of the 164 heads of families. The data collection method consisted of primary data obtained from samples and secondary data obtained from complementary sources such as literature reviews. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis as well as inferential statistical analysis using path analysis through Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results of this study showed that social capital will increase if it was conditioned by the empowerment of convergent communication through indicators of dialogue level, level of interaction, and level of participation.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang begitu pesat turut memberikan tantangan baru pada proses pendampingan kelompok tani yaitu terjadinya perubahan model pembentukan kelompok tani konvensional menjadi partisipatif. Kegiatan dalam kelompok tani biasanya tergantung dari jenis usaha atau unsur-unsur subsistem agribisnis seperti pengadaan sarana produksi, pemasaran, pasca panen, pengolahan hasil panen dan sebagainya. Penguatan kapasitas kelompok tani , peningkatan komunikasi partisipatif, dan analisis usaha tani menjadi hal yang paling berpengaruh penting dalam kelompok tani demi terwujudnya kesejahteraan kelompok. Oleh karena itu, tingkat komunikasi yang bersifat partisipatif dalam berkelompok juga merupakan hal mendasar sebagai kekuatan kelompok. Sebagai sarana berkumpulnya berbagai macam karakteristik individu, kelompok tani memiliki tantangan yang harus dihadapi terutama komunikasi dalam kelompok. Kerjasama yang baik dalam kelompok diharapkan memperoleh sejumlah penyelesaian masalah pada prosedur analisis kelompok tani melalui analisis kebutuhan penerimaan dan pengeluaran kelompok tani. Wujud sasaran pengabdian ini ialah kemampuan  kelompok dalam pembuatan program kerja, dan analisis usahatani kelompok tani Oelkunu di Desa Sallu melalui farm record serta bertujuan menjadi motivasi positif bagi pengembangan usaha kelompok tani lebih lanjut dalam ranah peningkatan kesejahteraan anggota kelompok tani.  Tahapan-tahapan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyampaian materi, FGD (Forum Group Discussion), pelatihan dan pendampingan. Materi yang disampaikan meliptui (1) pemberian materi tentang penguatan kapasitas kelompok tani secara baik dan tepat, Peningkatan Komunikasi Partisipatif Kelompok Tani, model analisis usahatani atau pencatatan usahatani dari komoditi pertanian yang diusahakan, seluruh peserta pelatihan berhasil menyelesaikan tugas pendampingan berupa pembuatan program kerja kelompok tani Oelkunu, dan pembuatan analisis usahatani yang dilakukan oleh petani. Lokasi kegiatan di Desa Sallu Kecamatan Miomaffo Barat Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara Provinsi NTT dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 50 orang petani. Hasil dari pelatihan farm record ini adalah petani selaku peserta pelatihan berhasil menyelesaikan tugas pelatihan dan pendampingan berupa pembuatan program kerja kelompok tani dan pembuatan analisis usahatani.
