Abstract

A community reading garden is a place dedicated to the community and is usually run by the community itself and the government. The presence of a community reading garden around the house is meant to spark an interest in reading. Taman Bacaan Masyarakat itself is a kind of public library. The existence of a community reading garden in the midst of the community is intended to increase public interest in reading in general and is used as an informal means of education. This study aims to apply the strategy of developing children's reading interest through the reading collection of Kampung Nelayan Reading Center. This research method uses qualitative research method based on the collected information. The results of this study indicate that the book collection of the floating library in the fishing village has a total of 400 books donated by the Padang city government and donors. The collection is a collection provided by the director of Kampung Nelayan Reading Center. Introducing children to a love of reading is not easy, especially when children don't learn to read from birth. Keywords: Children's Reading Collection Material, Community Reading Gardens

Abstract

The library is an institution that becomes a forum for various branches of knowledge, either in the form of research results or based on human writing. In the library, there are various types of collections, which can be printed or non-printed, fiction or non-fiction. However, like any library effort to have every collection, it will not be able to be fulfilled if it is not done in collaboration with other libraries. For this reason, collaboration between libraries actually includes efforts to satisfy users in making visits to the library so that users are willing to return to visit the library. The research method used in this work is a qualitative method which was analyzed using a literature study. The results of the research will be presented in general regarding the collaboration between libraries in meeting user satisfaction. Keywords:library, cooperation, concept

Abstract

Everyone needs information that is accurate, relevant, fast and easy to obtain. Needs are defined as something that must be owned by someone who must be fulfilled. Everyone needs information that is accurate, relevant, fast and easy to obtain. Needs are defined as something that must be owned by someone who must be fulfilled. Everyone can fulfill information needs, they will search for information through information sources, a number of behaviors shown by them in searching for information are referred to as information seeking behavior. Information seeking behavior is an activity in determining and identifying messages to satisfy the perceived information needs. The purpose of writing this article is to find out about information seeking behavior according to the criteria. Keywords: Library, Information Search, Cricket
