Abstract

This article discusses the role of generation Z in religious moderation in the digital era. Generation Z is the generation born between 1995-2010. Generation Z which is seen as the educated generation in the current era of digitalization which is expected to support the implementation of religious moderation policies or programs. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research and uses literature research methods. The results of this study indicate that religious moderation is a way of practicing religious life by taking the middle way or how to avoid extreme actions or fanaticism. In other languages, moderation can be understood as a process of actualizing religious teachings in a fair, balanced and wise manner. Religious moderation is something that the people of Indonesia really need to avoid the threats of extremist and liberal groups who only want division. Generation Z's role is needed in supporting religious moderation, including social control on social media, being moderate or not too fanatical, being a good people, spreading the importance of religious moderation and inviting kindness. Artikel ini membahas tentang peran generasi Z dalam moderasi beragama di era digital. Generasi Z adalah generasi yang terlahir antara tahun 1995-2010. Generasi Z yang dipandang sebagai generasi terpelajar di era digitalisasi saat ini diharapkan mendukung terlaksananya kebijakan atau program moderasi beragama. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan metode penelitian studi Pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama adalah cara mengamalkan kehidupan beragama dengan mengambil jalan tengah atau cara diri menghindar dari tindakan ekstrim atau fanatisme. Bahasa lainnya, moderasi dapat dipahami sebagai suatu proses pengaktualisasian ajaran agama secara adil, seimbang, dan bijaksana. Moderasi beragama menjadi suatu hal yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia untuk menghindarkan diri dari ancaman kelompok ekstrimisme dan liberalisme yang hanya menginginkan perpecahan. Diperlukan peran generasi Z dalam mendukung moderasi beragama antara lain yaitu sebagai kontrol sosial dalam media sosial, bersikap pertengahan atau tidak terlalu fanatik, menjadi umat yang baik, menyebarkan tentang pentingnya moderasi beragama dan mengajak dalam hal kebaikan.

Abstract

The Character is something that is inherent in a person and is formed from his family environment from an early age. However, the character of each person is clearly different, this happens because of several factors, one of which is the environmental factor in which he lives. The background of this research is that there is a problem of character education which is still quite minimal among the children of the Tanjungrejo Village, especially regarding environmental awareness. This study aims to increase knowledge and insight about character education by educating the use of plastic waste into flower pots and planting plants for children in the Tanjungrejo Village. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive approach, because researchers want to know and provide value-based experiences related to increasing the character of caring for the environment for Tanjungrejo Village Children through Education on the Utilization of Plastic Waste and Planting Practices. The target or target is the children in the Tajungrejo Village, which totals approximately 50 children. Sources of data obtained from field studies or primary data and secondary data obtained from relevant journals or articles. The results of the study show that the character of caring for the environment can be applied to children in the Tanjungrejo Village with Education on the Utilization of Plastic Waste and Planting Practices. The character of caring for the environment needs to be applied from an early age so that children grow into individuals who care about their environment, especially in the Tanjungrejo sub-district

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to train children's public speaking skills at LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. public speaking is a necessity to prepare skills to compete in the era of Society 5.0. Therefore, public speaking skills need to be trained from an early age. Although public speaking is easy, when it is practiced it often creates fear and trembling when speaking. This can happen because of a lack of self-confidence, as happened to the children of LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Unlike children in general who have families, children in LKSA Mambaul Ulum tend to feel inferior and have low self-confidence, this makes it difficult for them to communicate. From this problem, it became a method of service with the implementation of workshops related to public speaking, and direct implementation through speech competitions and lectures which were participated by LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur children. This series of public speaking skills training events resulted in the children of the LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur Foundation better understanding good public speaking techniques. In addition, their confidence level increased by 44 percent compared to before the training. This increase can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest that were distributed during the service. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini untuk melatih keterampilan public speaking anak-anak di LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Keterampilan public speaking merupakan sebuah kebutuhan untuk mempersiapkan diri bersaing di Era Society 5.0. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan public speaking perlu dilatih sejak dini. Meskipun public speaking terlihat mudah, namun ketika dipraktikkan seringkali timbul rasa gugup dan gemetar ketika berbicara. Hal tersebut bisa terjadi karena kurangnya rasa percaya diri, seperti yang terjadi pada anak-anak LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Tidak seperti anak-anak pada umumnya yang memiliki keluarga, anak di LKSA Mambaul Ulum cendurung merasa minder dan memiliki rasa percaya diri yang kurang, hal tersebut menyebabkan mereka sulit untuk berkomunikasi. Dari permasalahan ini menjadi metode kegiatan pengabdian dengan dilaksanakannya workshop terkait public speaking, dan pengimplementasian secara langsung melalui lomba pidato dan ceramah yang diikuti oleh anak-anak LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur. Serangkaian acara pelatihan skill public speaking ini menghasilkan anak-anak Yayasan LKSA Mambaul Ulum Bantur lebih memahami teknik public speaking yang baik. Selain itu, tingkat kepercayaan diri mereka naik sebesar 44 persen dibanding sebelum diadakannya pelatihan. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil pretest dan posttest yang dibagikan saat kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung.
