Abstract

The prospect of siam oranges (Citrus nobilis var.Microcarva Hoslk) farming development in subdistrict of Samarang, the district of Garut. The objectives of this study is to evaluate : (1) basic of farmer’s consideration in developing their siam oranges farming business, (2) prospect of siam orange farming business development from the view points its investment feasibility aspects, and prospect of siam orange farming business development from the view points of its strength, weaknesess, opportunities and threat. A survey was conducted in this study with a sample consisted of 63 farmers respondent which sorted out through two stage cluster random sampling technique The result of this study indicated that : The Price of orange was mainly considered in developing siam orang in the subdistrict of Samarang. Siam Orange farming business in this subdistrict was profitable as indicated by its Net Present Value (NPV): Rp.209.975.657,81, Benefit cost ratio (B/C) ; 1,63 and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) : 28,83%. Payback periods was reached with the period of 5 years and 7 mounths after planting. Sensitivity analysis indicated that siam orange business still profitable, despite the increase in production costs and a 10% decrease in benefits to the assumption of delay years. SWOT analysis indicated that siam orange farming business in this subdistrict was on the Strength – Opportunity quadrant which mean that this business should be optimally encourged to enter the market.

Abstract

Mentimun merupakan salah satu tanamam holtikultura yang sangat berpontensi untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia Tanaman mentimun di Indonesia ditanam di dataran rendah. Daerah penyebaran yang menjadi pusat pertanaman mentimun adalah Provinsi Jawa Barat, daerah Istimewa Aceh, Bengkulu, Jawa Timur dan JawaTengah. Mentimun adalah salah satu sayuran buah yang banyak dikonsumsi segar oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Mentimun merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran buah yang sangat potensial dikembangkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat yang semakin meningkat pada tahun-tahun mendatang. Dengan melihat potensi pada buah mentimun, maka pengembangan mentimun memiliki peluang bisnis yang sangat cerah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sukaharja Kecamatan TelukJambe Kabupaten karawang dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, dan keuntungan usahatani mentimun. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai dari bulan Januari 2022 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2022. Populasi Petani mentimun di Desa Sukarja Kecamatan Teluk Jambe Kabupaten Karawang adalah 21 petani . Metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus dengan alasan jumlah populasi lebih kecil atau kurang dari 100 maka semua populasi diambil semuanya sebagai sampel, sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 21 orang petani mentimun. Metode pengambilan data diperoleh dari data primer dan data skunder. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dengan petani mentimun. Data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, seperti jurnal, internet, skripsi, dan data dari instansi pemerintah. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis biaya, penerimaaan, pendapatan , R/C ratio dan BEP Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata biaya usahatani mentimun Rp 1.377.693,9 penerimaan usahatani mentimun Rp 1.894.636; pendapatan usahatani mentimun Rp 516.942; nilai R/C rasio adalah 1,60 dan BEP harga sebesar Rp.2.439/kg. Abstract

Subang is one of the mangosteen production centers in West Java Province that conducts export activities. Laksana Barokah Farmer Group is a group that exports mangosteen even though farmers feel that the return on investment in mangosteen farming is uncertain. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of mangosteen farming carried out by a farmer in the Laksana Barokah Farmer Group, Sagalaherang Village, Sagalaherang District, Subang Regency, and to determine the profit and payback period of mangosteen farmers. The research method used is the case study method, which determines the location and sample intentionally (purposive). The respondents selected were 1 farmer which has an existing mangosteen plant aged 30 years and a land area of 2 hectares. Data collection methods were carried out through observation, direct interviews, and literature studies. The results of the analysis show that mangosteen farming activities carried out by farmers in the Laksana Barokah Farmer Group in Sagalaherang Village are feasible to run and develop with the value of investment criteria, namely, R / C Ratio of 4.59; Net B/C Ratio of 12.04; Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp. 363,227,997; Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 10%; and Payback Period (PP) for 9.04 years. What needs to be improved by other farmers in this area is to improve the production system through the application of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and renewing land certification every 2 years so that the selling value of mangosteen increases.
