Abstract

This community sercive is carried out to provide understanding and skills to the target audience about internet media (e-commerce) as an effective and efficient means of selling/promoting products; encourage the target audience to use the internet as a means of business development; provide knowledge and skills to the target audience in creating advertising or promotional content on the internet such as on social media; provide assistance to the target audience in utilizing various internet-based market places as a means of selling products. The approach in this program is through the PALS (Participatory Action Learning System) method. The result of this program is the good understanding of partners about marketing through e-commerce; partners are able to create stores on the marketplace and promote through social media independently. The results of internet user assessments state that product marketing through e-commerce has high informative, persuasive (convincing) and intentional (attractive) values.

Abstract

Science instruction in schools remains largely theoretical and teacher-centered, resulting in limited student engagement in higher-order thinking processes. Existing instructional modules often provide insufficient opportunities for students to engage in exploration, experimentation, or contextual projects connected to their real-life experiences. This study aims to develop a project-based learning module incorporating a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach on the topic of ecosystems to enhance the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. Validation was conducted by two experts and two practitioners, followed by a small-group trial involving 20 students. Data were collected through observations, tests, interviews, and questionnaires, with data collection instruments consisting of questionnaire sheets. Data analysis was conducted using inferential statistics. The results indicate that the developed module is effective in increasing student engagement and critical thinking skills. Field trial findings show that students became more active in discussions, questioning, and analyzing environmental issues in their surroundings. The module was found to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills. The implications of this study suggest that instructional innovations integrating local cultural contexts into project-based activities can serve as an effective strategy to strengthen science learning in schools. This module not only enriches students’ learning experiences but also provides new directions for teachers in designing more contextual, collaborative, and real-life–relevant instruction.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of accessible learning media for students with low vision, which often results in science instruction failing to meet their visual and multisensory learning needs. This condition creates gaps in conceptual understanding and student engagement during learning activities. The aim of this study was to examine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of an adaptive activity book entitled “Energy for All” as an inclusive learning medium. The study employed a research and development design adapted from the ADDIE model. The participant was a fourth-grade student with monocular visual impairment, while the research subjects included one learning media expert and one subject-matter expert. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. Data analysis combined thematic coding for qualitative data and descriptive analysis for quantitative results. The data collection instruments consisted of questionnaire sheets and test items. The results indicate that the adaptive activity book was highly feasible (media validation score of 89% and content validation score of 90.25%), highly practical (average response score of 87.25%), and effective in improving learning activity by 35.3% and learning outcomes by 46.7%. These findings suggest that simple adaptive print media can enhance conceptual understanding, motivation, and participation among students with low vision in science learning, while providing an inclusive instructional alternative that is easy for elementary school teachers to implement. The study implies that the use of adaptive activity books can support more inclusive science learning processes for students with low vision; therefore, teachers are encouraged to integrate similar adaptive instructional materials into everyday classroom practice.

Abstract

The current issue faced by students is their lack of familiarity with their own culture, as they tend to perceive it as outdated. Based on this concern, the purpose of this study was to develop a student worksheet (LKPD) based on local wisdom. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the ADDIE model as the development framework. The research subjects consisted of material experts, assessment experts, and practitioners, while the trial subjects were sixth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instruments included questionnaire sheets and test items. Data analysis techniques involved qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative analysis, and inferential statistics. The results showed that the validation score of the LKPD by material experts was 93.06, categorized as highly valid. The validation score by assessment experts was 94.29, also categorized as highly valid. The small-scale trial yielded a score of 86.11, indicating the highly practical category. The evaluation provided by practitioners resulted in a score of 94.32, also categorized as highly practical. Meanwhile, the peer evaluation obtained a score of 90.91, likewise classified as highly practical. Furthermore, the t-test results indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest means. The n-gain analysis for sixth-grade students on the global diversity indicator yielded an average n-gain score of 0.408, which falls into the moderate category. In conclusion, the LKPD based on local wisdom developed in this study has been proven to be valid, practical, and effective, making it highly suitable for use in Pancasila Education learning at the elementary school level to enhance students’ attitudes of respect and responsibility.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools continues to face challenges, particularly low student engagement and suboptimal learning outcomes. This condition is influenced by the dominance of conventional, teacher-centered instructional approaches that have not yet facilitated meaningful and interactive learning activities. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of Canva-based worksheets in improving elementary school students’ science learning outcomes. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 52 fifth-grade elementary school students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through tests and observations, with research instruments including a validated science learning achievement test in the form of pretests and posttests, as well as observation sheets to record students’ learning activities during the instructional process. Data analysis was conducted using prerequisite tests, including normality and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using an Independent Samples t-test and analysis of learning improvement using N-Gain scores. The results indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group demonstrating a higher improvement in science learning outcomes than the control group. The findings conclude that Canva-based worksheets are effective in improving elementary school students’ science learning outcomes. The implications of this study suggest that the use of interactive digital media such as Canva can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance student engagement and deepen conceptual understanding in science learning.

Abstract

Learning media is an important component for increasing the effectiveness of student-centered learning because it serves as a mediator between teachers and students in understanding learning materials. This study aims to analyze and test the effectiveness of animation video media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' problem-solving skills and cognitive learning outcomes. This research is a development study (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of elementary school students and teachers who were involved in the trial of learning media. Data were collected through validation sheets, response questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest. Data analysis used N-Gain to determine the improvement in learning outcomes and t-test to examine the effectiveness of the media. The results of the study showed that the PBL-based animation video media developed received a very good category based on assessments from media experts and material experts. The implication of this research indicates that the use of PBL-based animation video media can be an innovative learning media alternative that helps teachers in improving problem-solving skills as well as students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

The science learning process in elementary schools still tends to use a uniform approach, so it is unable to accommodate differences in student learning styles. This condition causes students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This study aims to develop differentiated learning tools tailored to learning styles to improve students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in learning (IPAS) in grade IV elementary schools. This research is motivated by students' low analytical, evaluative, and creative abilities due to a learning process that remains uniform and does not accommodate differences in individual learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the 4D model. The research subjects involved 27 grade IV elementary school students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, observation of learning activities, high-order thinking ability tests, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed learning tools met the criteria of very valid (91.25%), very practical (90.4%), and very effective, with an N-gain value of 0.84. Based on these results, it can be concluded that integrating learning styles into differentiated instruction effectively improves students' analytical and creative abilities in science. The implications of this research indicate that differentiated learning tools can be a practical, adaptable model for teachers in implementing student-centered learning in line with the objectives of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools.
