Abstract

Life review therapy is one of therapy to reducing depression, building confidence, psychological well-being, and contentment in elderlylife. Purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of life review therapy on depression in elderly at Binjai erderly social service unit Province of North Sumatera 2021. This research method uses one-group pretest – posttest design. The sampling Technique was purposive sampling, with a sample of 30 respondents. The  measuring instrument used by the Geriatric Depression Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the score before life review therapy is 7,20 (SD=2,592), and after life review therapy 4,13 (SD=2,825). Statistical test results show the life review therapy affected depression in elderly at Province North Sumatera Binjai erderly social service unit with paired t-test, ρ value = 0,001. This research is expected to be an alternative to reducing depression, improving well-being and quality of elderlylife.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has had an impact on the learning system, namely that there has been a change in learning technology, from what was usually carrying out face-to-face learning drastically now changing to online or online-based learning without face-to-face meetings. This study aims to describe the ability of students to do self-directed learning at STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan. This type of research uses a descriptive design with a sample of 389 people. The results of the study show an overview of the ability of graduate students at the academic stage to do self-directed learning with high (69.2%) and moderate (30.8%) abilities. students are aware of and apply various learning strategies, learning awareness, learning activities, evaluation, and interpersonal skills during the covid 19 pandemic, From the results of this study it is hoped that the STIKes  Santa Elisabeth Medan educational institution can maintain and increase student learning independence, even though the Covid 19 pandemic is over, students are still implementing self-directed learning.

Abstract

Status gizi balita merupakan keadaan tubuh balita dengan terpenuhinya gizi seimbang didalam tubuh balita hal yang harus diketahui oleh setiap orang tua terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak diusia balita. Status gizi dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan pangan di tingkat keluarga, pola asuh keluarga, kesehatan lingkungan, pelayanan kesehatan dasar, budaya keluarga, sosial ekonomi, tingkat pendidikan, dan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status gizi pada balita di Klinik Romana Tanjung Anom Kecamatan Pancur Batu Tahun 2022. Jenis rancangan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian adalah total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status gizi pada balita di Klinik Romana Tanjung Anom Kecamatan Pancur Batu Tahun 2022 mayoritas kategori baik dengan responden 62 responden (42,5%) dimana gizi pada balita tersebut tercukupi sesuai dengan kebutuhannya dan juga pada saat posyandu selalu diberikan makanan tambahan dan informasi yang didapat pada saat posyandu tersebut. Sebaiknya orang tua tetap mempertahankan dan memantau terus perkembangan dan pertumbuhan gizi balita dan lebih aktif dalam dalam mencari informasi kesehatan tentang balita.
