Abstract

Leaves are one part of a plant species that is commonly used to classify plant and plant species. The process of assisting various types of leaves usually involves experts using a herbarium, which is a collection of preserved plant specimens. Leaf classification is the detection of different types of leaves, where there are 2 types of leaves including Magnolia Soulangeana and Invillea leaves. The training data contains 30 images consisting of 15 each of the 2 types of leaves, then the test data contains 20 images which are also taken from the 2 types of leaves. So that the total images used are 50 leaf images. The leaf classification uses feature extraction and the method used in the classifier is Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) which is a pattern classification method in which each output unit represents a particular class or group. The test results showed that the process of calling Magnolia Soulangeana and Bougainvillea leaves in this experiment was successful with 80% detection Keywords—Leaf classification, Learning Vector Quantization, Artificial Neural Networks, Feature extraction.

Abstract

Pengelolaan perpustakaan di SD Negeri 104208 saat ini masih menghadapi berbagai kendala karena sistem pencatatan buku, peminjaman, hingga pengembalian yang dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini mengakibatkan lambatnya pelayanan literasi bagi siswa dan sulitnya pihak sekolah dalam merencanakan pengadaan koleksi buku baru yang sesuai dengan minat siswa. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Cerdas. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tiga tahap utama, yaitu: analisis kebutuhan dan instalasi sistem, workshop pelatihan teknis penggunaan fitur katalog digital, serta pendampingan langsung dalam pengoperasian fitur prediksi pengadaan buku. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan staf perpustakaan dalam mengelola data buku secara digital dan mempercepat proses transaksi layanan sebesar 70%. Selain itu, fitur prediksi cerdas dalam aplikasi ini membantu sekolah dalam menentukan prioritas pengadaan buku berdasarkan pola peminjaman siswa secara akurat. Melalui kegiatan PkM ini, manajemen perpustakaan di SD Negeri 104208 menjadi lebih efektif, efisien, dan siap mendukung program literasi sekolah berbasis digital.

Abstract

Student attendance is a routine activity in schools that serves to monitor students’ presence and acts as an indicator of discipline. At SMK Swasta Bina Satria Medan, the attendance process is still carried out manually using paper-based attendance lists, which is time-consuming, prone to fraud, and at risk of data loss. To address these issues, a technology-based attendance system that is fast, accurate, and integrated is required. This study aims to design and develop a student attendance application based on QR code technology, which can be used by subject teachers through Android devices. Each student has a personal QR code displayed through a dedicated Android application for students. Teachers scan the QR code using the Android application to automatically record attendance into the database. The system is developed using Java with MySQL as the database. The test results show that the application can perform attendance quickly and accurately, minimize recording errors, and reduce the potential for fraud. Attendance data is stored digitally and can be easily recapped according to the desired period. With this application, the attendance administration process at SMK Swasta Bina Satria Medan becomes more efficient and practical and supports digital transformation in the school environment.
