Abstract

Melihat masih terbatasnya fasilitas pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sektor formal dan mahalnya pembelajaran di sektor informal (English Course) membuat banyak kalangan masyarakat yang minim pemahaman Bahasa Inggris khususnya anak yatim dan dhuafa, sangat membutuhkan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris diluar sekolah. Maka, dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini kami memiliki satu solusi untuk memberikan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris melalui media flashcards. Pembelajaran ini mencakup pemahaman kosa kata Bahasa Inggris dasar. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini sebelumnya sudah mengetahui beberapa kosakata dalam Bahasa Inggris. Hal ini terlihat saat pemateri memberikan pertanyaan, sebagian peserta mampu menjawab dengan tepat, sementara sebagian besar peserta lainnya tidak menjawab karena belum mengetahui kosa kata tersebut. Ketika pemateri menggunakan alat peraga berupa flashcard, peserta lebih antusias untuk mengikuti kegiatan karena dilengkapi dengan gambar dan nama objek dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris dan cara membacanya. Dari hasil nilai peserta pada pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai kosakata dari peserta. Hasil ini memperlihatkan bahwa melalui kegiatan pembelajaran dengan media flashcards, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman kosakata Bahasa Inggris pada peserta kegiatan. Maka didapatkan beberapa kesimpulan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kosakata Bahasa Inggris di kalangan anak-anak dapat menggunakan teaching aids seperti media flashcard. Dengan metode ini, anak-anak lebih antusias dalam mempelajari Bahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan yang lebih menyenangkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar mereka.

Abstract

KKN di Desa Penari is a horror movie produced by MD Pictures. This Indonesian and Javanese language film managed to become the film with the highest number of cinemagoers in the history of Indonesian cinema with 9,233,847 viewers, replacing the film Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! (Part 1) which released in 2016 with 6,858,616 viewers. Using a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, this study aims to determine the marketing communication strategy for film KKN di Desa Penari through social media. The results of the study show that MD Pictures utilizes several social media such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter in promoting film KKN di Desa Penari. Social media is used to provide accurate information about film showing schedules, cinemas showing films, and how to buy cinema tickets online. Creating interesting social media content such as countdown, giveaway event, collaborating with external parties in the form of discount promos, testimonials from mass media representatives, public figures, and cinema goers who have watched the film KKN di Desa Penari, and building interaction on social media through making funny pictures/memes via the @kknmovie account.

Abstract

Sales activities through online marketplaces today are not just about making product visuals, product titles, and descriptions as attractive as possible. The presence of the live streaming feature can be utilized by sellers to reach more buyers with faster and more intimate interactions. Erigo is one of the sellers who utilizes the Shopee Live live streaming feature provided by Shopee. Erigo collaborated with the idol group JKT48 in various forms of promotion, one of which was by involving JKT48 members in live streaming activities on Shopee Live. There was an increase in the number of viewers and turnover obtained by Erigo when JKT48 members were actively involved in live streaming activities through Shopee Live. The popularity of JKT48 and fan fanaticism are important in the success of the collaboration carried out by Erigo and JKT48.

Abstract

The issue of mental health has been increasingly discussed in recent years, the increase in suicide and murder cases among students is strongly suspected to be due to mental health disorders in the perpetrators. Students are a group that is vulnerable to mental health disorders due to various factors. Research on mental health issues was conducted on 24 students of the communication science study program using an in-depth interview method. The results of the study showed that most students are aware of the importance of maintaining mental health, and they believe that the closest environment such as family and friends, as well as the use of social media have an influence on a person's mental health condition. Implementing a healthy lifestyle and an attitude of self-love are also believed to be the best way to avoid mental health disorders.
