Abstract

Abstract

High increasingly the need for wireless communication is lncreasing the need for cellular communication system, especially in urban area. The propagation media of cellular communication is air, which is it affecting quality of communication. The important think in link budget calculation is to able to build good communication system. This research was conducted with the calculation and measurment of RSL, the result will be analyzed and can be determined the appropite propagation model to be implemented in urban area of Palembang. This research uses PCS Extension to Hata model and SUI model in pathloss calculation and uses drive test method with G-Net Track in acquisition of measurement data. The distance range specified in 500 – 1500 m and located on 5 different sites. Based on this research, the propagation model that appropriating in urban area that has been evaluated is SUI model.

Abstract

The escalating growth of the internet has led to an increase in cyber threats, particularly malware, posing significant risks to computer systems and networks. This research addresses the challenge of developing sophisticated malware detection systems by optimizing the Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) with hyperparameter tuning. The specific focus is on fine-tuning essential hyperparameters, including dropout rate, number of neurons in hidden layers, and number of hidden layers, to enhance the accuracy of malware detection. A Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) with dropout regularization is trained on an extensive dataset as part of the research design. Hyperparameter optimization is conducted using GridSearchCV, with experiments varying learning rates and epochs. The best configuration achieves outstanding results, with 98% accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The proposed approach presents an efficient and reliable solution to bolster cybersecurity systems against malware threats.

Abstract

The increasing use of vehicles in big cities, including at SMK Negeri 2 Palembang, results in significant challenges in parking management, such as congestion and inconvenience due to conventional systems. Therefore, efficient parking management is required. One solution to overcome these challenges is to utilize Internet of Things (IoT) technology. A smart parking system based on IoT and Android is a crucial solution in overcoming parking management problems in urban areas. Through socialization conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Palembang, this activity aims to provide students and teachers with an understanding and skills regarding IoT technology in effective parking management. The socialization included basic theoretical presentations on IoT and Android technology, as well as practical demonstrations of how the smart parking system works. The participants were trained to understand the components of the system, such as IR sensors, Arduino Mega 2560, and mobile applications, and were involved in hands-on system testing practices. The results of the socialization showed that the participants understood how the system worked and could perform simple practices of sending sensor data using an IoT server.

Abstract

The rapid development of multimedia technology has encouraged innovation in learning media, particularly for practical-based courses. Fiber optic practicum learning requires direct practice, specialized equipment, and adequate laboratory facilities, which often become constraints, especially during distance learning conditions. This final project aims to develop a virtual reality–based learning media for fiber optic practicum to support students’ understanding of practical procedures in a more interactive and immersive manner. The development process utilizes Blender as a 3D modeling and animation tool to design laboratory environments and fiber optic practicum equipment, including stripper, cleaver, fusion splicer, optical power meter, and fiber optic cables. Verge3D is used to create interactive animations and integrate the models into a virtual reality environment. The learning media simulates key practicum stages, such as cable stripping, cutting, splicing, and attenuation measurement using an optical power meter. The resulting virtual reality learning media allows users to experience fiber optic practicum activities in a simulated laboratory environment as if performing real practices. This media is expected to function as an alternative learning tool that enhances students’ understanding, motivation, and readiness before conducting actual fiber optic practicum in the lab.
