Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning design of the problem solving model on the hydrocarbon concept oriented to higher order thinking skills and to analyze the results of the validation test of learning tools in the form of lesson plans (RPP), worksheets (LK) and evaluation questions. This research method uses the Design Based Research (DBR) method with three stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development. The plan for implementing the developed hydrocarbon material learning contains steps in problem solving learning design. The results of the validation test show that the learning device in the form of a lesson plan developed is declared valid with a value of 0.93 in the valid category, so that the problem solving model of learning design can be used in chemistrylearning.

Abstract

Amina is one of the concepts in organic chemistry that is difficult for students to understand because it is abstract, so students cannot connect understanding between macroscopic-level phenomena, submicroscopic levels, and symbolic levels on the concept of amines. Therefore, it takes a learning medium that can help explain the three levels of representation interactively. The purpose of this research is to create electronic modules as a medium of interactive teaching materials as well as test their feasibility for use by students. The research method is done with research & development, which is to analyze what is needed by students, then create electronic modules, and then applied in learning. The research was conducted on third semester students who have studied organic chemistry. The results showed that the electronic modules created had an interactiveity so that students were able to understand the concept of amines with macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic visualizations. Responders as much as 100% feel the benefits, interests, and motivation in using it. Based on appearance and content, responders rate 85% and 90% respectively. The conclusion is that this electronic module is worth using in studying the concept of amines.

Abstract

This research was driven from a lack of understanding and awareness of information regarding the safety aspects of laboratory work. Thus causing the number of work accidents in the laboratory to be high. The method used is Design Based Research (DBR). Based1 on the results1 of the1 study, obtained magazine oriented information literacy products that present material about safety laboratory work with questions that refer to information literacy. General, this results of magazine validation are declared valid with an average calculation of 0.76 in the presentation of material; 0.73 in the language; and 0.74 in the magazine display. The test results show decent results with a percentage 86.5% in the presentation of material; 85% in the language; and 86% in the magazine display. This shows that magazine are very feasible to use as teaching materials for learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validation results and describe the appearance of the worksheet on stevioside extraction from stevia leaves. The method used in this research is Design-Based Research (DBR) with the ADDIE model. The project-based worksheet display contains questions based on the stages of project-based learning, including the stage of analyzing problems, designing projects, conducting experiments, compiling drafts/prototypes, product assessment, and finalizing and publishing products on stevioside extraction from stevia leaves (stevia rebaudiana) as lemongrass instant drink sweetener. The worksheets are validated by three validators, namely material experts and media experts. The results of the project-based worksheet validation test on stevioside extraction as a sweetener were declared valid with an average value of 0.85 including the high category, meaning that the worksheets can be used as a medium for supporting learning activities in the laboratory in addictive and additive chemistry courses.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 brings changes to the world of education that demands innovation and the use oftechnology and information in learning. The purpose of this research is to produce a teaching material, namelyan electronic module (e-module) on the use of phytochemicals in the field of pharmaceuticals which is orientedtowards chemical literacy. The method used in this research is the Design Based Research (DBR) method. Theresulting e-module presents material in the form of various phytochemical compounds that have bioactivity asanti-cancer, anti-diabetic, and anti-inflammatory along with chemical literacy-oriented questions. The e-moduleis validated by three validators, namely material experts and multimedia experts. In general, the results of the emodule validation are declared valid with a rcount value of 0.77 and are included in the fairly high validity category.
