Abstract

The traditional approach to Coffeeshop business requires business owners to manually record orders and purchase transactions, which poses serious challenges to service management in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. To optimize Kopi KurangLebih Coffeeshop needs and increase its appeal to consumers, a relevant management information system is required. Solving business problems requires web-based information systems that facilitate the ordering and purchasing process. In this study, we use design thinking methodology to design a system that meets user needs. Kopi KurangLebih users are buyers, stakeholders, customers, baristas and cashiers. The Kopi KurangLebih website has several advantages, including viewing menus and ratings, food and drink selections, promotions of the day, points redeemable for various user benefits, and other facilities within the cafe. Therefore, Kopi KurangLebih can make information readily available to purchasers and potential purchasers to increase its attractiveness and marketability. The results of this study show that the Coffeeshop management system design supports Coffeeshop management processes more efficiently and effectively compared to traditional business processes. Nonetheless, the role of each actor in performing their respective tasks optimally becomes a determinant of business losses and gains.

Abstract

Through applications supporting informal education services, the development of information technology during the fourth industrial revolution has promoted the growth of the education industry in Indonesia. This study uses the Design Thinking framework to design and analyze information systems for the online peer tutoring services known as TutorYuk. The stages in system design are as follows: empathize stage, namely the process of identifying user needs and classifying practical problems related to requirements in the informal education sector; define the location, analyze the priority of user needs and issues that need to be solved through information systems; the idea stage, the process of networking aspirations related to solutions to problems in the education sector that shows the urgency of system design; prototype stage, design system flow and function and visualization of application interfaces; Testing stage, testing system performance. The findings of this study demonstrate that TutorYuk is built to suit student needs for learning help based on course names and instructor qualities chosen by users. The duration and experience of the instructor are considered when providing tutoring services so that they can be tailored to the client's needs. Consequently, by offering digital media to service suppliers (tutors) and service recipients, TutorYuk can become a commercially successful application (tutees).

Abstract

Sebagian besar lembaga pendidikan telah melakukan upaya nyata untuk memajukan kecerdasan bangsa dengan menerapkan penggunaan teknologi khususnya komputer dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Salah satu sekolah ternama yaitu SMAK 7 Penabur Jakarta telah menerapkan teknologi dalam proses pengajarannya sesuai dengan visi dan misi sekolah. Pada tanggal 9 dan 10 November 2023 sekolah tersebut menggelar kegiatan Workshop IT Camp yang dimana salah satu dosen dari prodi Sistem Informasi Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya (Unika Atma Jaya) ikut berpartisipasi sebagai narasumber. Melihat latarbelakang para peserta kegiatan yang tidak rata tentang pengetahuan komputer khususnya kemampuan dalam pembuatan program yang masih cukup rendah, maka narasumber memilih materi pengenalan dasar web design, karena materi ini bersifat fundamental dan tidak terlalu terkait dengan kode program. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan baru terkait pembuatan web sederhana dengan memperhatikan unsur-unsur dari web design dan dapat melatih meningkatkan imajinasi dan kreativitas dalam membuat tampilan aplikasi web yang baik bagi peserta didik di SMAK 7 Penabur Jakarta. Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Narasumber berhasil melaksanakan kegiatan edukasi pengenalan dasar web design di SMAK 7 Penabur Jakarta yang dihadiri oleh 21 peserta siswa-siswi SMA dari kelas X, XI, dan XII dengan baik dan tanpa kendala yang serius. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan nilai post-test mengalami peningkatan sebesar 26,7% dibanding nilai pre-test, sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa peserta masih dapat memahami materi yang diberikan oleh narasumber
