Abstract

Chaeacter education is a human activity that trains abilities with educational actions in order to lead to a better life for the next generatuon. The objektive of this research is to describe and find out the value of character education contained in Tere Liye’s novel Rasa. Character education in this study can teach how a person must instill good attitudes or character from an early age so that human beings with good character are formed so that they can distinguish between what is good and what is bad so that differences between individuals are formed. In thid study the method used is descriptive with a qualitatuve research form. The focus in this study is the value of character education contained in the Tere Liye’s novel Rasa, while the subfocus is examining the value of character education contained in the Tere Liye’s novel Rasa. Data analysis used documentation techniques which then conclusions can be drawn from this analysis. The result of this study are 9 values of character education from the novel Rasa by Tere Liye which include: (1) relihious, (2) tolerance, (3) discipline, (4) hard work, (5) independent, (6) creative, (7) curiosity, (8) fond of reading, (9) friendly/communicative.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the quantum writing model on the ability to write poetry creatively in class X.1 students of SMA Negeri I Pedamaran Timur. The population in this study were all students of class X.I SMA Negeri I Pedamaran Timur, consisting of 36 students. The sample in this study was obtained using cluster random sampling technique. So that class X.1 was selected with a total of 36 students as the experimental class and X.2 with a total of 31 students as the control class. This research model uses an experimental model. The data analysis technique used is the test data analysis technique, observation interview test. The results of this study indicate that the average value of the pretest control class was not treated with quantum writing or by learning ordinary material which obtained scores of 21 and 24 while for the posttest experimental class group with quantum writing treatment 59 and a greater value of 61. This proves that there is an influence of the Quantum Writing Model on the Ability to Write Creative Poetry for Class X SMA Negeri I Pedamaran Timur. So the hypothesis in the research proved true. Based on the criteria for testing the hypothesis that HO is rejected if t count ≤ t table, and Ha is accepted if t count ≥ t table, with = 4.287 and 1.671. This proves that t count ≥ t table with a value of 4.287 ≥ 1.671 then Ha in this study is accepted as true.

Abstract

This study aims to develop animated video learning media based on the Canva application on the ability to write negotiating texts for class X SMA Negeri 1 Palembang and to describe students' responses to learning media. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model through the stages of Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation. Data collection techniques used observation, validation sheets, student questionnaires and documentation. The results of the validation research from media experts obtained 90% with a very valid category, material expert validation obtained a value of 95% with a very valid category and validation by linguists obtained a value of 95%. The recapitulation of the three validations obtained an average value of 93% with a very valid category. In the small group test stage conducted by 5 students, a score of 90% was obtained in the very good category. At the field test stage, 30 students obtained a score of 95% in the very good category. The recapitulation of the two stages of the student response trials was 92% in the very good category. So, it can be concluded that the animated video learning media developed is included in the very good category as a learning medium.
