Abstract

Tradisi baarak di Nagari Koto Hilalang, yang sampai saat sekarang ini masih dilakukan oleh masyarakat di Nagari tersebut. Tradisi baarak di Nagari Koto Hilalang memang berbeda dengan tradisi baarak pada umumnya, baik dari segi pelaksanaan, proses baarak dan pakaian khusus yang digunakan dalam prosesi baarak. Dan bukan hanya itu di Nagari Koto Hilalang juga menerapkan sanksi atau denda bagi masyarakat yang melanggar aturan baarak denda tersebut diberikan kepada Kantor Adat Nagari (KAN) Koto Hilalang. Namun demikian masih banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami ‘urf dalam penerapan suatu tradisi. Sehingga sanksi yang diterapkan masih terlaksana sampai saat sekarang ini tanpa mempertimbangkan kemaslahatan bagi masyarakat itu sendiri.Tujuan penelitian ini ialah. Pertama, menjelaskan proses-proses yang dilakukan selama tradisi baarak berlangsung Kedua, mendiskripsikan sanksi-sanksi yang ditetapkan oleh tokoh adat kepada masyarakat dan mendiskripsikan faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi tradisi baarak yang dianggap begitu penting sehingga dilakukan sampai saat sekarang ini. Ketiga, mendiskripsikan tradisi baarak pada perkawinan di Nagari Koto Hilalang dalam pandangan hukum Islam (perspektif ‘urf). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data seperti wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, hal ini ditujukan untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian mengenai tradisi baarak dalam perkawinan di Nagari Koto Hilalang dalam perspektif ‘urf. Adapun yang menjadi informan dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Nagari Koto Hilalang, pemuka adat dan pegawai KAN. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa temuan bahwasannya prosesi baarak di Nagari Koto Hilalang dimaknai masyarakat sebagai cara untuk menjalin ikatan adat dan hubungan silaturrahim antara pihak keluarga mempelai wanita dengan keluarga mempelai pria sehingga ketika ada pelanggaran dalam prosesi ini maka adat menjatuhkan sanksi tertentu. Sanksi yang ditetapkan ini bertujuan untuk mengahargai tatanan adat yang disepakati secara bersama. Selanjutnya dalam hukum Islam tidak ada pembolehan ataupun larangan dalam melakukan tradisi baarak, apabila tradisi tersebut sudah diakui oleh masyarakat luas dan terdapat kemaslahatan di dalamnya maka tradisi yang dilakukan bisa dikatakan dengan ‘urf yang baik (sahih). Akan tetapi apabila sanksi yang diterapkan dalam baarak menimbulkan kemudharatan bagi masyarakat maka hal tersebut dinilai sebagai ‘urf yang fasid

Abstract

Low student motivation in learning, lack of student learning outcomes, minimal student understanding of HOTS questions, and lack of student participation in learning. Teachers still use inadequate and monotonous learning models, such as implementing lecture-based learning models that make students feel bored, making the learning less effective and enjoyable. The study aimed to determine how much influence the application of case-based learning to improve students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) at SMAN 1 Batipuh. The quantitative research method is experimental. This research design uses a pre-test-post-test control group design. The study population was 143 class XI geography students at Phase F of SMAN 1 Batipuh 2024/2025. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample in this study selected two classes, of which 1 class was used as an experimental class, namely XI geo four and XI geo two as the control group. Data collection techniques were observation, documentation, and testing. The research instrument is a test sheet in the form of an objectif (case study) with an assessment according to the criteria of the higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) category, such as analyzing, evaluating, creating, thinking critically, and solving problems. The data analysis technique uses statistical analysis to process the data obtained. The data obtained from this study were processed with the help of IBM SPSS 30 for the T and N-gain tests. The study results revealed that the application of case-based learning positively improves students' high-order thinking skills (HOTS) in geography subjects at SMAN 1 Batipuh, as seen from students' learning outcomes and learning activities. The results of this study are that there is an effect of the application of Case Based Learning on population dynamics problem material to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of students in class XI Geo 4. The average post-test of the experimental class was 83.48 and the control class was 53.80. Data analysis using the Paired T-Test from the calculation data obtained a significance level (sig) of 0.001 because the significance is less than 0.05, so HO is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Although attendance management systems have been widely discussed in previous research, studies that specifically examine the implementation of web-based attendance systems using the Laravel framework in vocational high schools remain limited. This study aimed to develop an integrated online attendance system based on the Laravel framework to overcome the limitations of manual attendance methods. A quantitative approach was employed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model and a Model–View–Controller (MVC) architecture. The system was designed for two types of users, namely administrators and participants, with system requirements data collected through direct observation of manual attendance processes to identify sources of inefficiency. The results indicate that the developed system was able to reduce recording errors by up to 95%, increase attendance process efficiency by 40%, and shorten recording time from an average of 12 seconds to 4 seconds per transaction. In addition, data integration across modules achieved 98% consistency with no detected inconsistencies. These findings contribute to the development of web-based information system theory and broaden understanding of Laravel framework implementation in the context of vocational education. The study concludes that adopting a Laravel-based attendance system is an important component of digital transformation in vocational high schools and recommends the implementation of integrated digital attendance solutions as a strategic step toward modernizing attendance management. The implications of this research include theoretical contributions to the literature on web-based system development and practical implications for educational institutions seeking to modernize attendance processes, while also opening opportunities for further studies on biometric integration and mobile application development.
