Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the importance of geometry, geometry is a very important thing to learn, especially in mathematics. Therefore students must learn geometry The truth reveals that geometry students still have limited mathematical reasoning abilities. . A learning module that can assist pupils in learning geometry is necessary in order to overcome these challenges.. Therefore, E module based on Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) was developed. The goal of this research is to develop e-module based on SAVI on geometry subject. This study employs the Plomp development model and is a development study. The subject are nine grade students of SMP N 2 Kerinci. The instruments used were validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires. Based on data analysis, it was found that (a) the developed SAVI-based e-module was valid both in terms of material and appearance, (b) the developed SAVI-based e-module met very practical criteria both in terms of presentation efficiency, attractiveness, ease of use, and design with a percentage of 85.6% based on student response questionnaires, and 76.8% based on teacher response questionnaires.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of media in the form of comics based on mathematical problem solving abilities for grade VIII students of junior high school. One of the most important skills that students must master is the ability to solve mathematical problems. As a result, media is needed to help students better understand subject matter and improve their ability to solve mathematical problems. This study aims to develop comic media in learning mathematics based on the ability of junior high school students to solve mathematical problems. This research includes development research. This study uses the ADDIE methodology (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted to determine the validity and practicality of comic media on the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students. Based on the validation results to experts, the validity of comic learning media was 89.4% in the material aspect and 91.8% in the media aspect. Based on the test results, it was found that the practicality of comic learning media was 85.4% in the very practical category based on the results of the teacher's response questionnaire and 86.6% in the very practical category based on the results of the student response questionnaire. Thus, it was concluded that comic media in mathematics learning based on students' mathematical problem solving abilities is valid and practical to use in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of student achievement in education. student achievement in education is usually known after going through a test or a competition. One of the competitions that is always contested every year from the city/district level to the national level is the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM). KSM is a competition held within the Kementerian Agama for Tsanawiyah or Aliyah level students. Achievement in a competition can be influenced by several factors, one of which is achievement motivation. In addition, at this time the assumption that human intelligence is only based on the intellectual dimension is no longer valid. There is something called Emotional Intelligence or EQ (Emotional Quotient) and SQ (Spiritual Quotient). This research is a research with a quantitative approach, and the method used is survey method. The population in this study were all 55 students at the madrasah aliyah in Sungai Penuh who took part in KSM. The sample consisted of 38 people who were selected randomly or by simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis testing is done by simple regression analysis. Based on data analysis, it was found that: 1) There is an influence between achievement motivation on student KSM achievement in Sungai Penuh City by 27.3% 2) There is an influence of emotional quotient on student KSM achievement in Sungai Penuh City by 21.4% 3) There is an influence the spiritual quotient for KSM student achievement in Sungai Penuh City is 12.8%

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. This is because mathematical concepts are related to one another so that learning them must be continuous and continuous. But in reality there are still many students who cannot understand the learning concept as a whole. One of the efforts and solutions to overcome this is that there must be an update in the learning model, the Learning Model which is expected to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is the scramble type cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of scramble type cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This type of research is a experimental research. The population in this study were all seventh grade students at one of the junior high schools in Kerinci. The sample consisted of two classes selected by probability sampling. The instrument used was a test of mathematical concept understanding ability. Data analysis using Independent t-test. Based on data analysis, it was found that there was an effect of scramble type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical concept understanding ability with the average value of the experimental class of 88.03 and the control class of 78.10.
