Abstract

Based on the results of the author's initial observations on December 21, 2022 at SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci in class VIII carrying out individual tasks, there are still students who cheat. In addition, the lack of learning planning from teachers by choosing a mathematical learning model that suits the learning style of students, the need for consideration for teachers of the nature of mathematics subjects in carrying out learning to students. The purpose of this study is to influence the learning media of geogebra applications on the critical thinking ability of mathematics students of SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci class VIII. Based on the problem to be studied, namely to see the influence of mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using geogebra learning media in class VIII of SMP N 7 Kerinci, this research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. The design used in this study is the One Group Pretest Post Test. The data analysis used in this study includes normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. Based on the pretest and postest that the author did, the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 70.14 and 77.46, respectively. The average posttest score is higher than the average pretest score of students. Furthermore, based on data analysis using the t-test, a significance value (p-value) of < ∝ or in other words 0.000 < 0.05 means that H1 is accepted or in other words there is an influence of geogebra learning media on mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Kerinci.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations on the online mathematics learning process in grade VIII A students of SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sungai Full with a total of 29 students, it is known that students do not understand the material provided by the teacher, this is due to learning mathematics One must think in order to be able to understand the mathematical concepts learned and be able to use these concepts correctly when he has to find answers to various mathematical problems, whereas the thought process cannot be obtained from learning remotely And also the network conditions in Sungai Full City are not good making students unable to study well, and not all students of SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sungai Full can use applications such as: Geogebra, Photomath, Cymath, and so on. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The purpose of this study was to see the Effectiveness of Geogebra Applications on Students' Mathematical Critical Thinking Skills. The data analysis used in this study was by using the mean similarity test and t-test. Based on the results of data analysis using the t-test, a significance value (p-value) of < ∝ or in other words 0.000 < 0.05 means that H1 is accepted or in other words, students' mathematical critical thinking skills can be improved with the help of geogebra applications in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on students' achievement. This research was conducted by pseudo-experimental research methods. The study population is students of SMP Country 36 Kerinci Class VIII Semeseter even for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample consisted of an experimental class of 32 students and a control class of 31 students. Data collection is carried out using instruments, namely student learning outcome test instruments in the form of essays. The results of data analysis and statistical tests show that problem-based learning models affect student learning outcomes. Based on the results of processing research data or by hypothesis testing so that a conclusion can be drawn about the effect of learning model factors on learning outcomes it can be seen that fcalculate = 12.879 with the value Sig. 0.000. Because the value of Sig. < 0.05, Ho is rejected, or in other words there is an influence of problem-based learning models on students' achievement. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to teachers, that the application of problem-based learning models be developed as an innovation in the teaching and learning process to create an active, innovative, creative, effective and fun learning and able to improve students' achievement
