Abstract

This study aims to identify differences in the average feeding practices of stunted clowns in the intervention and control groups. Quantitative Research Method with a quasi-experiment post-test only control group design. The analysis in this study used the Independent T-Test. The study results showed that the average feeding practice for stunted clowns in the intervention group was higher at 112.32 compared to the intermediate feeding practice for stunted clowns in the control group of 77.71. The analysis using the independent T-test showed a significant difference between the average feeding practices of stunted clowns in the intervention group and the control group, with a p-value of 0.0001. The conclusion is that implementing nutritional interventions can improve the practice of feeding stunted toddler children. Keywords: Nutritional Intervention, Feeding, Stunting

Abstract

Background: Feeding practice is one of the factors determining the stunting prevalence. It happens because the children’s food intake strongly depends on the feeding practice done by their parents. The role of parents would determine children's nutritional intake, in which inappropriate nutritional intake lead to stunting. Objectives: The aim of the study was to identify differences in the feeding practices of mothers to stunting children under two years before and after being given a complementary feeding intervention Methods: This is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental one group design. The samples in this study were 31 respondents selected using the consecutive sampling technique. The inclusion criteria were mothers who have children aged 6-24 months with stunting (z score PB/U is less than -2SD). Exclusion criteria were that the mother or child was sick and did not receive complete intervention. Instrument used was a standard Comprehensive Feeding Practice Questionnaire (CFPQ) instrument. The intervention provided was in the form of education using audiovisual media and a demonstration of the practice of making complementary feeding. The analysis in this research is paired T test. Results: The average score on feeding practice for stunting Children Under Two Years after the nutrition intervention is higher, namely 112.32 compared to the average score on feeding practice for stunting Children Under Two Years before the nutrition intervention, namely 87.06. The results of the analysis found that there is a significant difference between the average score on feeding practice for stunting Children Under Two Years before and after the complementary feeding with p-value of 0.0001. Conclusion: The complementary feeding intervention can encourage the feeding practice of stunted under-two-year-old children.

Abstract

Patients treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are critical patients who are in a life-threatening condition due to failure or dysfunction in one or multiple organs accompanied by hemodynamic disorders. Critical patients in a state of decreased consciousness have limitations in mobilization, which have an impact on unstable hemodynamic status (Heart Rate (HR), Respiratory Rate (RR), oxygen saturation (Sa), and blood pressure. One of the interventions that can be done to deal with this is progressive mobilization. Objective: to identify research articles on the effect of progressive mobilization on hemodynamic status and the incidence of pressure sores in critically ill patients in the ICU. The method is a literature review, which analyzes scientific articles from 4 databases: Science Direct, Proquest, Ebscohost, and Google Scholar. Keywords progressive mobilization, hemodynamics, pressure sores. Inclusion criteria for research articles, 2016-2020, Indonesian and English. Obtained 7 articles using the PICO formulation. The research article analysis technique is in a table format containing the author, title, year, method (design, sample and analysis), and results. Based on 7 research articles obtained, it shows that there is an effect of progressive mobilization on hemodynamic status and the incidence of pressure sores in critically ill patients in the ICU. All articles show different results.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the priority nutrition problems in Indonesia. The incidence of stunting in 2018 to 2021 has decreased but has not yet reached the government's target of 14.4%. The intervention of stunting is very important to be done by nurses and the integrated health post cadres to prevent stunting. This study aimed to identify the effect of the stunting intervention package on the preparedness of health post cadres (knowledge and motivation) in stunting prevention. This study was a pra-experimental approach using pre-test and post-test without control. The number of samples was 30 respondents with the purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study were characteristics and preparedness questionnaires. The health post cadre’s preparedness questionnaire consisted of a questionnaire on knowledge and motivation. The analysis used in this study was the Wilcoxon test. The average knowledge and motivation of health post cadres after the stunting intervention package were higher, with a value of 11.63 and 55.20, compared to those before the intervention which were 10.23 and 52.97. The results show a significant difference between the average knowledge and motivation of cadres in stunting prevention before and after the stunting intervention package was given with a p-value of 0.001 and 0.027. There is a significant difference between the average knowledge and motivation of health post cadres before and after being given the stunting intervention package. it is hoped that the cadres will consistently implement the stunting intervention package at the health post.
