Abstract

Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS) or credits used by universities in Indonesia requires students to be able to manage their learning activities independently, but in fact, students often do activities outside of learning activities. Therefore it is necessary to research students' readiness to manage learning activities in higher education with student learning motivation. The method used in this study was the survey method with a sample of 78 students. The results showed that the Self-Directed Learning Readiness Variable was in the medium category, with an average score of 80.9 from the ideal score of 104. The average Student Learning Motivation Variable score was 84.51, compared to the ideal score of 108, which was still in the medium category. The results of hypothesis testing showed a positive and significant relationship between the Variable Self-Directed Learning Readiness and Student Learning Motivation Variables, with a correlation of 0.805 at α = 0.05, which is included in the very strong category. To improve Self-Directed Learning Readiness, schools need to develop curricula that fit the needs of students and conduct time management training for students so that student's motivation to learn can increase. (Sistem Kredit Semester (SKS) yang digunakan oleh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia menuntut mahasiswa untuk mampu mengelola kegiatan belajar secara mandiri. Namun, pada kenyataannya, sering kali mahasiswa lebih banyak melakukan kegiatan di luar kegiatan belajar. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengelola kegiatan belajar di perguruan tinggi dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan sampel sebanyak 78 orang mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel Self-Directed Learning Readiness berada pada kategori sedang, dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 80,9 dari skor ideal 104. Sementara skor rata-rata untuk variabel Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa sebesar 84,51 dari skor ideal 108, yang masih termasuk kategori sedang. Adapun hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel Self-Directed Learning Readiness dengan variabel Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa, dengan korelasi sebesar 0,805 pada α=0,05 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat. Untuk meningkatkan Self-Directed Learning Readiness, sekolah perlu menyusun kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa dan mengadakan pelatihan manajemen waktu kepada mahasiswa agar motivasi belajar mahasiswa dapat meningkat.)

Abstract

The problem of mismanagement in church stewardship is caused by church leaders not being standardized in their managerial competencies which causes them to be unable to carry out their management functions, namely: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This study addresses a notable gap in existing literature by providing a framework that links these competencies to the successful achievement of a church's vision, mission, and goals. The author proposes generic managerial competencies that must be standardized or possessed by the church leaders, such as General Ability, Willingness to do more, Creative Leadership, Goal & Objective Setting, Managerial, Emotional Quotient, Personality, human relations, work style, Loyalty, Work Potential. Finally, the research offers practical insights for church leaders enabling them to enhance their managerial skills and improve overall church governance and operational effectiveness.

Abstract

AbstractFor improving the performance of lecturer then lecturer development management in tertiary institutions faculty are being important. There are many factors, both internal and external that affect the performance of the faculty, including the most factors are leadership, motivation and compensation, therefore this study intended to analyze the effect of three factors above either partially or simultaneously towards the performance of lecturers. In order to achieve the research objectives, the research method used is explanatory survey. The findings of the study found that there is a significant effect of leadership variable (X1) on the performance of lecturers (Y) of 27.39%, a significant effect of motivational variables (X2) on the performance of lecturers (Y) of 26.69%, a significant effect of the variable compensation (X3) on the performance of lecturers at 21.03% with three simultaneous effects by 73%, which means the best perception of lecturers on the three variables above, the performance would be even better. Schools need to provide opportunities for lecturers to convey their wishes and hopes for the school. Schools need to reward lecturers for their works done. Compensation for lecturers should be given fairly. Schools need to develop the performance of appraisal system to improve the performance of lecturers. AbstrakDalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja dosen maka manajemen pengembangan dosen di perguruan tinggi menjadi tumpuannya. Ada banyak faktor, baik internal maupun eksternal yang mempengaruhi kinerja dosen, diantaranya adalah faktor kepemimpinan, motivasi dan kompensasi. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisa pengaruh dari ketiga faktor tersebut baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap kinerja dosen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan eksplanatory survey. Temuan studi menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel kepemimpinan (X1) terhadap kinerja dosen (Y) sebesar 27,39%, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel motivasi (X2) terhadap kinerja dosen (Y) sebesar 26,69%, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel kompensasi (X3) terhadap kinerja dosen sebesar 21,03%, adapun pengaruh simultan ketiganya sebesar 73%, yang berarti semakin baik persepsi dosen pada tiga variabel di atas, kinerjanya akan lebih baik.  Untuk memperkuat posisi kepemimpinan, Ketua STT perlu memberikan kesempatan kepada dosen untuk menyampaikan keinginan-keinginan dan harapan mereka kepada institusi. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi dosen maka ketua perlu memberikan penghargaan kepada dosen atas usaha yang mereka lakukan dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugasnya. Dalam menetapkan kompensasi kepada dosen, hendaknya dilakukan dengan adil. Kemudian untuk meningkatkan kinerja dosen di STT, perlu disusun sistem penilaian kinerja dosen.
